Best 80's - Either Signals of Permanent Waves. I can't decide.

Best 90's - Counterparts

+1. Signals is the ultimate synth Rush album, but Permanent Waves is so all around good that it has to rank at least top five of all time. 90's Rush doesn't really do it for me, but Counterparts had the better songs of that decade.

Power Windows rules all synth Rush albums

Unless you consider Presto to be a 90s album.

Which you cannot, because it was released in 1989.

Yes but Presto sounds like a 90s album. Not as much synth, more like RTB than HYF. confused13.gif

Hello again. I've recently been listening to a Rush greatest hits collection and I gotta say, I'm really loving songs from the 80s. The Body Electric, Mission, Mystic Rhythms, Marathon, Time Stand Still, Distant Early warning, Force Ten, Red Sector A. All of these songs are great.

My question for you all now is: Which album from the 80's is best?

I don't know if the album with the most hits is the most consistent or if the album with the most songs I like is actually the weakest.

Same Question for the 90s. I love Roll the Bones, Test for Echo and Driven. Which of the 90s is the strongest?

Thanks for any knowledge, guys. smile.gif

80's Permanent Waves as a complete album was my favourite.

90's i will be honest i lost touch with Rush.
