Don't state the ending because of the movie because you may spoil the movie for those who haven't seen it.

My three favourites have already been mentioned -

Usual Suspects

12 Monkeys

Carrie

I'd also add The Village, one of my favourites from last year.

Posted

'Planet Of The Apes'. The original, not the remake.

Sixth Sense is the first one that comes to mind. I had The Village figured out before the big shocker moment came, which was kind of disappointing.

That's because 'The Village' was static, boring, and predictable. Shyamalamadingdong needs to branch out and quit the 'all of my movies have shocking twist endings' gimmick.

I didn't think Signs had an intentionally shocking ending. A nice little twist, but nothing overboard. He actually said he wasn't going for the big reveal for the ending of that one.

True enough. I'll give you that one. smile.gif

And Jack, thank you from the bottom of my heart for calling him Shyamalamadingdong. I SWEAR I thought of that recently and couldn't wait to type it out...that is SO friggin funny. icon_really_happy_guy.gif

The movie "Fallen" with Danzel Washington really surprised me at the end.

That was the first DVD I ever bought and it was a mistake. The movie wasn't great at all.

The Crying Game (ok not the very end, but those that have seen it know what I'm talking about). I honestly had no clue and it really freaked me out.
