barney_rebel Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Don't state the ending because of the movie because you may spoil the movie for those who haven't seen it. Arlington Road Sixth Sense Carrie Pay it Forward Vanilla Sky Paycheck Back to the Future Minority Report The Others
madra sneachta Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 My three favourites have already been mentioned - Usual Suspects 12 Monkeys Carrie I'd also add The Village, one of my favourites from last year.
Jack Aubrey Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 'Planet Of The Apes'. The original, not the remake.
GhostGirl Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Sixth Sense is the first one that comes to mind. I had The Village figured out before the big shocker moment came, which was kind of disappointing.

I had The Village figured out before the big shocker moment came, which was kind of disappointing. That's because 'The Village' was static, boring, and predictable. Shyamalamadingdong needs to branch out and quit the 'all of my movies have shocking twist endings' gimmick.

A nice little twist, but nothing overboard. He actually said he wasn't going for the big reveal for the ending of that one.

And Jack, thank you from the bottom of my heart for calling him Shyamalamadingdong. I SWEAR I thought of that recently and couldn't wait to type it out...that is SO friggin funny.

barney_rebel Posted May 11, 2005 Author Posted May 11, 2005 The movie "Fallen" with Danzel Washington really surprised me at the end. That was the first DVD I ever bought and it was a mistake. The movie wasn't great at all.

war2112 Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Mumford 2001: A Space Oddysey The Crying Game (ok not the very end, but those that have seen it know what I'm talking about). I honestly had no clue and it really freaked me out.
