i do think there are a few good modern ones but there's just... it's difficult to explain - in the context of the old episodes, the new ones "suck" but in the context of tv overall, they don't. i think it's that the quality was so high at one point that where they are now seems like such a great decline. that's not to say that some of the new ones aren't amusing, such as the one where they split the school into boys and girls. i enjoyed that one a lot, but it's still no "i call the big one bitey"

getting published is getting published. don't beat yourself up for the particular type the poem's good, and you are definitely your worst critic

Wow -- Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA!

very tasty, though often too rich for my blood. i'm a big ipa lover and dogfish head is one of the best, if not the best i've ever had -

there is a difference between "safe" and "tasty" i would be willing to bet money that the whisky is safe, which was the point of the first post, but it might taste differently than it did when it was first opened. -
i always thought that hemispheres was neil's reconciliation of the differences he had with objectivism, and rand's works in general. the key balance between heart and mind seemed to point out where he broke philosophy with the objectivist ideal.

rand. i think i tore through atlas shrugged in 5 days... 5 work days. when i was done i think i slept for 24 hours straight it isn't the best written book in history, but there was something compelling about it that absolutely refused to let me put it down, even for a second.

QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Jul 26 2006, 04:09 PM) QUOTE (feelingwithyourskin @ Jul 26 2006, 04:01 PM) CHUG, CHUG, CHUG! seriously, though, it should be fine. if it were wine or a more sugary spirit that contained less alcohol, i might give it pause, but i've had liquor bottles open for way more than a year that have been as tasty as the first sip. hell, i think i've had the same bottle of bailey's in my fridge for two years now if the color is off or it smells bad, those would indicate that it was no longer palatable, but i doubt that it is. if someone drank directly from the top or it was contaminated in some way it might not be as fresh as day one, but alcohol is a preservative for a reason I agree. Whisky, if kept in a cool dry place and the bottle is in good shape should last a long time. Wine is good for only a couple of days once it's opened. After that, it's pretty much vinegar. Baileys, if I'm not mistaken, has some sort of dairy in it. Even refrigerated, two years might be a stretch, but I could be way off. Is there some sort of storage advice on the label? it's dairy but it has a high alcohol content, so it's fine if kept cool. i had some last week and it was perfectly fine and any non creamy liquor should be perfectly okay if unrefrigerated. i don't know what the label says as far as storage, but it's not the kind of thing i've looked for before. whisky, vodka, gin, rum, etc. should last you a good long time without turning -
