Fridge
Just wondered if anyone else was a fan of this stellar slice of British R&b? They were amazing up until the end of the 70s when they lost original members...they still tour but none of the original lineup remain, so not the same band, but they were magnificent back in the day. raw, sweaty pub rock played like it should be, and Johnny Wilko had this really unique guitar style, almost able to combine rhythm and lead at the same time....amazing stuff....Lee Brilleaux was a real "geezer" as a frontman as well. treeduck
QUOTE (Hatchetaxe&saw @ Jun 5 2012, 05:50 PM) I thought it was weird Cosy Toes posting again, and we haven't seen Fridge start a music thread in years!
Imaginos
A great band. I've seen them live twice (once with Lee Brilleaux and once after his passing away). Wilco Johnson is a total nutter but I just love watching him play. My favourite Dr Feelgood track is "Sugar Turns To Alcohol".

foghorn-leghorn
Fridge, did you see them live in the 70's ? They played Scotland quite a few times in their heyday. I was lucky to be born and brought up in Glasgow, and saw them 3 times at the Apollo. Amazing live band. I think we loved them so much because they all looked like they fancied a brawl One gig (always sold out) Lee announced that Stupidity had gone to number 1 in the UK album charts that day. The place went mental. I was 15. God the memories. Edited May 24, 2015 by foghorn-leghorn
