The prick on the topic, is propably a 50 something lowlife that hates rush and frequents counterparts & TNMS. Wanker. I hope I see him in dublin.

I'll be there, want to make something of it? You might find my stilettoes up your jacksy if you do - you will be able to recognise me with my Licence plate bearing the word "RUSHBITCH". Meanwhile I shall raise a pint of Black and Tan to you smile.gif

FWIW I don't hate Rush - I just heartily dislike Rush post Signals - and yes I do frequent TNMS and Counterparts as they - well maybe not Counterparts - are far more tolerant of people who dare critcise Rush.

This made me laugh real hard cause it made me think of Alphonso Ribeiro.

Age. sad.gif

This is Jean Simmons.

http://www.legendaryhalloween.com/image-files/gene-simmons-makeup.jpg

This is Gene Simmons.

Phonetically interchangeable but hardly personally so smile.gif

Ya know, I've known of Jean and Gene's existence for a good 30 years, and it never occurred to me that their names are phonetically the same. A fantastically useless bit of knowledge, but I love it.

Cheers Lerxt! trink39.gif

To my eyes, Jean was very much the English Audrey Hepburn, beautiful.

Jean, just because I support Rush's right to set ticket prices, don't assume I am a blind supporter of everything the band does. I have been very critical about Rush in other contexts.

I thought the album Vapor Trails was absolute garbage and have posted extensively on it. I have also posted on how releasing a live album from every recent tour dilutes the discography. I have also been really critical of the way Neil has treated some of his fans in the past.

If you really want to you can shove them up your fundament and have them vibrate smile.gif

(My significant other loves it, but I have to remember never to use his phone)

No, just never went "Ha! Gene Simmons, Jean Simmons", kinda thing one should have come across in a pub quiz by now!

Is it a homophone or a heterograph?

Now, there's a question I thought I'd never ask.

...I think we should all just agree to live and let live and celebrate our differences.

Some of us (like me) love pretty much everything Rush has ever put out, some of us only like the old stuff, some of us prefer a certain era or album, some of us like TRF, some of us prefer Counterparts, and all that's okay. I don't see why there needs to be this big fiasco over one member.

But I have to admit, the homophone discussion is pretty interesting.

Yeah, I'm straight - can I still use a homophone? laugh.gif
