garbo
Alright, so I just paid roughly the same price I paid for Muse. Granted, I'll be in section L, dead center, row 41. Not the greatest (my first option was row 20, section G, and although I love Geddy... eh I want to be dead center). For Muse (not at Voodoo), I paid the same price and was in the last row. How long has Rush been around in comparison with Muse? I'm not going to complain.

Finding IT
QUOTE (Roger Goldsmith @ Nov 25 2010, 09:04 AM) QUOTE (AJ71 @ Nov 25 2010, 08:55 AM) I've just been to my local and they've doubled the price of Guinness! Something to do with demand apparently. That and the cost of shipping it from Ireland I said i'm not paying that much, they said like it or lump it. The working man doesn't deserve a chance to drink his favourite pint anymore Bastards Aye,,,, imagine putting up the prices just cause of demand... whatever next I don't know why the bother shipping to you anyway. Perhaps a lower quality product might be more in line with your willingness to pay. Stupid metaphor, really.

Ranger J
QUOTE (Jean Simmons @ Nov 26 2010, 12:13 AM) Right I'm off to smoke one of significant others gays, even though I gave up smoking gays years ago, because these ticket prices are upsetting me so much. Then I've got to put the gays on for tea, because junior is coming home from school soon. I had to read that twice. For a second there I thought you were reverting 'back to homosexual tendencies' so that you could afford a ticket. Jean Simmons
I found this on another Rush fan site: QUOTE Your money lets us tour the world Your money gets around Your money you don't have a choice Your money lots of pounds Your money make us feel like kings Your money buys Al fries Your money keeps us mighty fed Your money we won't try Waste time pissing people around Sometimes Al might wear a rug Some clown pushes sample buttons About time that they pulled the plug Stuff the money in a lorry Band should apologise The usual setlist story You will crumble at the price Your money takes us round the world Your money gives us booze Your money don't want any fake Your money then you lose Your money makes us really cream Your money buys us meals Your money your so easy lead Your money buys us wheels Most times Peart stares and glowers Walking round with just a frown Throw you down a stairway He's no time for clowns Always writing 'bout religion Thinking he's real cool He's so full of fan derision With his clips and his drum stool Your money lets us tour the world Your money love to take Your money yes we're very shrewd Your money your mistake Your money Caravan is bland Your money we control Your money outlook's pretty bleak Your money we just stole. Ben vk
I was a bit shocked at the price of tickets for this tour but was more than willing to pay. My first Rush gig was in 2007 and had to pay through the nose to get tickets after they all sold out. For me, the price of the tickets is not the main issue. It's the scandalous way all the best seats get snapped up days before they officialy go on sale to be touted later for 2,3 or 4 times the price. If I'm being asked to pay 70 odd quid for a ticket to see Rush, the least I expect is a fair chance to buy some good seats when I'm ready and waiting at 9am today. That's the big rip off in my opinion and it's got nothing to do with RUSH. It's the massively corrupt way in which tickets for events are sold in the UK.
