MMCXII
QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Sep 8 2010, 12:09 PM) I got a little weird, trying to keep the band chemistry in mind: Soon (melodic rock) Geddy Lee - bass, vocals (Rush) Brian May - guitars (Queen) Stewart Copeland - drums (The Police) Blonde Toby (hard rock, funk rock) Alex Lifeson - guitars (Rush) Les Claypool - bass (Primus) Lars Ulrich - drums (Metallica) Anthony Kiedis - vocals (Red Hot Chili Peppers) One Hand Clapping (progressive rock) Neil Peart - drums, percussion, lyrics (Rush) Chris Squire - bass, vocals (Yes) Steve Hackett - guitar, vocals (Genesis) I think "one hand clapping" also needs Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) on vocals, flute, and whatever else he could add

thelocator
AHahaha....One thing I didn't think would happen was that one of these combos was gonna make me laugh...out loud...for serious. But, the first thing that came to mind after seeing Hoovermac's Group 3...was the image of ultra-short, 80's-version Billy Joel situated at the mic stand, dressed all in black, snapping away at his fingers and tapping his right leg, as he slowly turns back to the rest of the band and sees modern-day, old and arthritic 'Steve Howe' with a hollow-body guitar in his hands, along with old, modern-day-era 'Rick Wakeman' at his patented weapons depot of keyboards, both trying to harmonize along with Joel's 'For The Longest Time'... ♫♪ "...for the longest, for - the - lon-gest time"♫♪, all while Tony Levin and Neil Peart aren't even near their instruments, but instead, are hovered around some Crafts Service table at the back of the studio, sampling hors d'oeuvres and rare cheeses and waxing philosophic. Group 3: Neil Peart- Drums Tony Levin- Bass Rick Wakeman- Keyboard Steve Howe- Guitar Billy Joel- Vocals
