losingit2k
Here's the Challange, create three super group and you must include one and only one of the members of Rush for each group! Addendum: Group Members must be living! Group One: Neil Peart (Percussions) Rush Robert Berry (Vocals-Add Instumentation) - Solo - 3 Jordon Rudes (Keyboards) - Dream Theater Steve Vai (Guitars) Solo - David Lee Roth - Tony Levin (Bass) Liquid Tension - Peter Gabriel- King Krimson Group Two: Geddy Lee (Bass/ Vocals) - Rush Mike Portnoy (Drums) Dream Theater -Transatlantic -OSI- Liquid Tension Keith Emerson (Keyboards) ELP Trevor Rabin (Guitars) solo - Yes Group Three: Alex Lifeson (Guitars) Rush Randy Jackson (Vocals/ Backup Guitars) Zebra Billy Sheehan (Bass) Mr. Big- David Lee Roth Phil Collins (Drums/ Vocals) Genesis Jon Lord (Keyboards) Deep Purple As you see I kinda went with a sound for each! I actually had Paul Rogers for vocals on the first group but decided to go with Robert Berry instead just for the tonality! Anyway have fun! thelocator
I think that I'll deliver a second round of ensembles tomorrow, since I already have quite a number of 'specialty' groups in mind...It's cool to diversify a wee tad, mixing up the musical directions of these bands, and potentially adding/subtracting a keyboard player or a second guitarist if ya'll think the situation warrants it...Go for it...It's your own particular delusion...No one can place boundaries on your delusions... Ya know what I always wanted to see someone experiment with? Holy Ship! I almost gave away a really spectacularly good idear...I believe that I posess the 'entry' that will win this thing, now that I give some serious thought to the rules...I have a particularly daring and courageous mixture of men in mind. Oh, you didn't hear? losingit2k is offering up an 'all-expense paid trip' to RockCamp this year (held in Beirut) for the winner bearing the overall best Rush, spin-off ensemble...He says the perfect Rush spin-off group does exists, and is out there...We merely need to list the members and claim the prize. Simple as pie...Only restriction this year is that Kiss members are no longer considered musicians, since they've jumped the shark too many times to forgive. I Have to admit your responses are always elaborate and entertaining! But you got one thing incorrect. The "All expense trip" is to the new democratic state of Iraq! This spin off Rush group will highlight the concert I'm producing there for the kind citizens of that wonderfully peaceful nation! I can promiss that the concert will have many pyrotechnics!
