Blackhawk tickets are real scarce these days. We've sold out every game for over two years now. If you want to catch a game, you have to buy on stub hub and pay out the nose. I'd love to go to one this season, but I don't know if it is going to happen. sad.gif

 

I was at the clinching game against the Canucks last season, and it was AWESOME. I'd love to get back to anther play off game this year...but I just don't have the loot. eh.gif

Yesterday:

 

1. Devils looked confused and not playing as a team.

1a. Boucher got very lucky.

1b. Watch out for Kovolchuck from now on.

 

2. Phoenix is much faster more physical then detroit.

2a. Detroit needs to maintain pressure more in the offensive end.

2b. Will the veteran presence on detroit show up in time?

 

3. Fleury looked bad.

3a. Sens will go as far as Elliot can backstop them in this series.

3b. Good to see secondary players (neil etc..) scored for ottawa, they need that.

 

4. The young guns on Colorado might surprise us.

4a. If the sharks choke again, can you say rebuild?

4b. Anderson got lucky a few times. Nabokov didn't. Simple as that.

For Today (pregame)

 

1. Canucks need to come out hard and fast vs. LA, cause you know LA will.

1a. Quick (or Bernier) Vs. Louie, watch for this story line in this series.

1b. Aside from the Sedin's other people need to score for the canucks.

 

2. Rask making his first playoff start (to my knowledge) He's played well all year, can he keep it up vs. Miller, a Vezina trophy candidate?

2a. Injuries haunt either team? (Especially Boston)

2b. Good to see my hometown player (Zach Hamill) play vs. the caps for boston last game of the season, made my town proud.

 

3. Halak Vs. Theodore. Nough said.

3a. High Power caps offensive keep rolling? Halak needs to be at his best

3b. Montreal capitalizes on their chances, or it's over quickly.

Certainly though...you are right, we will only go as far as HALAK can take us. The defence will need to be solid, and their special teams will need to be at their best.

 

But more importantly, it will all revolve around Halak's performance in net. The guy will need to stand on his head through most of the series.

 

Here's hoping we can get it done...

Dammit! Michalek tore his ACL last night and is done for the season! Now we are missing him and Kovalev plus Cheechoo was a bust for us. Argh that is what was two be three of our five best forwards who are out for our playoff run now.

 

Talk about wins by committee time! Teamwork boys!

The past few days been watching lots of pre-game stuff, and any interviews with either Fleury or Theodore it both looks like they are nervous wrecks for some reason. Let's hope Theodore has an off night tonight like Fleury did last night and we can have another Canadian team take a lead in their series.
