By coincidence, I picked up the Epiphone SG Friday after getting a setup done on it. I had worked on the sucker off and on over a span of about three years, replacing the pickups with John Birch Magnums, I replaced the nut and the tuners also, had some frets filed down, and it sounds badass ... Sabbath's debut is still one of the greatest metal albums ever (along with the next four Sabbath albums). It has such a dark vibe to it. It really draws you under their spell.
