(Isn't everything in the Playoffs?) There's quite a bit of history between these Divisional opponents, and I'm happy with whoever wins. However, Vancouver still needs a trip to their third cup to face my Sabres. Nucks in 7. STANLEY CUP FINAL: Vancouver Canucks v Buffalo Sabres OKAY. I SWEAR I DID NOT PLAN FOR THIS. okay, maybe I did, BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER. This really is a dream matchup for me. The Class of 1970 battling for Lord Stanley's Cup. Each have had two trips to the Final, with both ending in losses. One team will finally claim it's first Cup, one will fall to 0-3 when playing for the Cup. John Bucyk thought the team should have alternating captains. So, for 4 or 5 years, the Bruins did not appoint an official captain and instead rotated the responsibility. FWIW, Bucyk did get on the carpet to accept Lord Stanley's Cup in 1970 and 1972.
