  1. I'm still waiting to hear if they're gonna come to Buffalo...
  2. QUOTE (Silas Lang @ Jun 17 2010, 10:37 PM) QUOTE (metaldad @ Jun 16 2010, 01:02 PM) Anything but Big Money I'm surprised you dislike this one. That and Territories are the 2 most rock and roll songs on the album. There's nothing wrong with The Big Money...but they played it while Touring for Echoes, and on the Return tour. I didn't think it sounded that great on the Vapor Tour...but that's just me. When it comes to having two songs from Windows, I want to hear Middletown Dreams and Emotion Detector: the two most underrated songs from that album.
  3. QUOTE (snowdog212 @ Jun 16 2010, 08:28 PM) Bumped into my friend today little news. As far as he knows a deal is still being worked out Looking at a Sept date. Problem is, they do not want to book Rush for the Labor Day weekend thinking ticket sales would not be as strong and would be like the 4th of July show.He said if he hears anything definite in the next few weeks he will e-mail me any info he can. Me personally would not be surprised if it becomes a non Live Nation event and they play the HSBC Arena I would have the biggest field day of my life if that happened.
  4. I still say they should play HSBC Arena again, if they're going to play the actual Buffalo area. It's a great venue, quite a good number of seats (18, 690...probably closer to 18,800 for concerts). I was at the Metallica, Bruce Springsteen and Elton John/Billy Joel concerts when they were here. The acoustics are amazing, and it's not like there's bad seats either.
  5. QUOTE (Todem @ May 29 2010, 08:13 PM) QUOTE (KaoKun1990 @ May 29 2010, 07:09 PM) Prime Mover. We all know Geddy doesn't like to be stuck behind his keys, and it's one of the few songs from that era where he's not behind them at all. Anybody else remember seeing Prime Mover on A Show of Hands? Yeah I remember Prime Mover live....meh. Great studio song but I thought it was flat live...real flat. Turn the Page cooked live...but he was stuck behind the keys....but what a challenging superb jam that tune is. Of all the HYF tunes played live 3 really stood out: Force 10 Mission Turn the Page I'd say that Lock and Key stood out as well. Geddy managed to really convey the emotion behind the song when he sang it live.

She lives in Buffalo. That's hilda's home show. Oooooooooooo It's mine as well, folks. I'd love to have my first show be right in my backyard...though I'd much rather see them play The Arena. They haven't set foot in there since T4E.
  8. I like this. Great idea to start it, it gives insight. Take A Friend In The End Bastille Day (How long has it been? AF2K Tour?) The Twilight Zone Cinderella Man Cygnus X-1 Book II - Hemispheres (At least the Prelude) Different Strings (would make a nice post-drum solo song with Resist) The Analog Kid red lenses Grand Designs Prime Mover Chain Lightning Neurotica Everyday Glory Totem Nocturne The Way The Wind Blows
  9. QUOTE (mankad89 @ Jan 31 2010, 08:29 PM) How are Middletown Dreams, Neurotica, Test for Echo, Driven, and especially Vapor Trail happy? They pump me up. Re-energize me...that's why I put them on the list.
  10. QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ Jan 31 2010, 07:47 PM) QUOTE (KaoKun1990 @ Jan 31 2010, 07:28 PM)And yes, I know I left out GUP...because it was a dark, very unhappy album. With the exception of "Kid Gloves". Otherwise it's easily their darkest effort. I'm honestly not a big fan of Kid Gloves, so I guess I could've easily included it if I knew it better than I do. But Grace still ended up being a fantastic album, despite how dark it was.

  12. QUOTE (Spindrift82 @ Dec 19 2009, 08:44 PM) Why did I leave The Lamb off of there? Because it's their hardest album to get into. I beg to differ. Lamb is what got me into Genesis. It's my favorite album, followed by Wind, Cryme and Touch.
  13. You know when you're a Rush fan when... - You cried over the loss of your laptop because you weren't able to burn all of your bootlegs to disc beforehand...not because you lost the laptop. - You play Expert Bass and Expert Vocals in Rock Band whenever Rush is involved just so you can say you're Geddy Lee.
