Alex
So who was it in your opinion. Well for me its hard because James Bond went into a more serious mood now that the Daniel Craig series is on the go. For the reason that James Bond is more serious now, I voted Daniel. However from the earlier style of James Bond Sean Connery was my favourite! So, how about you guys?
Mandalorian Hunter
Daniel Craig is an excellent Bond. I'll have to see a couple more films with him in the role to be able to consider him in a poll like this; Just to see if Casino Royale wasn't a one trick pony My thinking at the moment is that Daniel Craig isn't the best bond, but Casino Royale is the best Bond film of them all. My favourite right now, and probably always, will be Pierce Brosnan. I'd imagine you'll get alot of responses containg the phrase 'My Bond'. I choose Pierce because I grew up with him as Bond. I got into the series with Goldeneye, and every Bond film I'd seen in the cinema was with him. Emotional connection I suppose. So yeah, Pierce gets my vote. -D-RocK-
I'll go to my grave thinking - knowing Roger Moore was the greatest 007 EVER! All the others are fine, but Roger Moore simply stands above the rest. Please feel welcome to disagree with me if you must.
ReRushed
Connery, for now. Craig, with a few more movies under his belt, has the potential to take the mantle. I will say this, Moore is the worst.

Mara
Connery for me. Fuuny story about Roger Moore. Apparently some of his Bond Girls were offended by the fact that Moore never got, uh, aroused during the bedroom scenes. That was his gun they were feeling pressed against their thighs. ILSnwdog
Connery for now. A couple more films like Casino Royale, and Daniel Craig could move into first. Dalton was by far the worst.
workingcinderellaman
I thought Dalton was the worst in the Bond role. I think he's a much better actor than Moore, but I don't think the Bond role fit him at all. I like more humor. After all, it's a spoof, it's supposed to be funny. Connery was/is the best. Surely you could half see that coming. I'm shocked by all the Dalton hate. He was far better than George Lazenby, and probably would've benefited from better films. If he'd have been in the role for GoldenEye he'd have pulled it off well. I'm biased though, he's Welsh.

Mandalorian Hunter
Infact, Dalton's portrayal of Bond is pretty much like Daniel Craigs; a grittier Bond. Imagine him with such a wonderful script as Casino Royale.

How can anyone believe a James Bond movie? They are supposed to be spoofy and unbelievable, that's what makes them fun to watch. You don't say, "Oh, there is no way his watch could stop a bullet with it's built in electromagnet." You just smile and enjoy it. If you were a bad guy and had captured James Bond and you wanted to kill him, wouldn't you just shoot him? or would you put him on a table and cut him in half with a "laser"? If the movie took itself too seriously, then you would question the gadgets and methodology. Personally I think there are plenty of serious action movies. It's nice to watch a movie that knows it's ridiculous. My favorite Bond movie is Diamonds are Forever. The plot of the second Austin powers was based on it. If you watch the movie, there is all kinds of humor in it. It even makes fun of the moon landing conspiracies. Anyway, just my opinion, but when Dalton was Bond, it seemed too serious, and then you started questioning possibility of the semi truck wheelie and barefoot skiing behind a sea plane. But this is the thing; Bond isn't meant to be spoofy. Unfortunately, film makers thought it was, and this is especially evident in the Roger Moore films. His era really did ruin the franchise fully in that respect. Why do you think there are little to no gadgets in Casino Royale? They want to make it believeable again.
