Cygnus The God Of Balance Posted May 22, 2008 Share Posted May 22, 2008 Kristen, my former intern here at the radio station, goes to IPR (Institute for Production and Recording) in Minneapolis. She called me this morning to tell me that the live sound class, which she is not enrolled in, is going to St. Paul tonight to see Rush, and check out how the on stage monitors are run. Apparently (I assume) Brent, the guy who runs the monitors for Rush, is a friend of the guy who teaches this class at IPR and invited them to the show. They get to watch the show from backstage. Knowing what a huge Rush fan I am, she decided to call to let me know about this. She said several of the kids in the class don't even like or know Rush. I told her she needs to work her way into that outing for extra credit. What an amazing opportunity. We'll see if she gets to go. She said if she did she'd try to call me from backstage. Film at 11. Not only to hear Rush but they get to see how the stage monitors are run for a large band in a big venue. Once in a lifetime experience. I hope she (and the other kids) have a great time!
