circumstantial tree
Varies, but: pepperoni ALWAYS sausage mushrooms extra cheese bacon We have a few good pizza places in our area: Michelangelos - my favorite Brooklyn Boys Pizzaria Mellow Mushroom - healthy and brick oven style. Pizza Inn - buffet style with desert pizza. My fave is chocolate chip cookie pizza. There is a pizza place in Chapel Hill called Peppers Pizza which had a menu item of Geddy Lee Pizza. rushgoober
My fave toppings: Extra cheese Sausage (only if it's real Italian susage) Bacon Mushrooms Pepperoni is ok - not my fave, but it'll do in a pinch. At Pepe's Pizza in New Haven, CT they have a white clam pizza that is so good it'll make you cry. Not big on olives, and most vegetables (besides mushrooms) I feel have no place on pizza. Ghost of a Rider
If I have anything to say about what goes on it, Italian sausage is a must. From there I'm pretty flexible although I prefer mushrooms, pepperoni, olives, jalapenos and plenty of cheese.
skyswing
The only cool, locally owned place I've ever liked or enjoyed is Tony's Pizza in a rough part of my hometown of Montgomery, Ala. Otherwise, I've eaten at the chains, which is just about all we have in the South, at least in the places I've lived. As for my favorite stuff on a pizza, I like sausage, extra cheese and mushrooms.
