Ancient Ways
I only know how old any of the posters are if it has come up in the past as part of a thread such as Puppetking entering college. Other than that is is very difficult to tell.

mystic
Personally, I love to see young RUSH fans!!! It just goes to prove how ageless and timeless the BEST BAND EVER really is!!! Nothing is funnier than going to one of the shows and seeing kids as young as 7-8yrs old standing next to somebody who's completely grey haired or old enough to need a cane or walker!! welcome us all!!!! Mandalorian Hunter
QUOTE (streak85 @ Jan 23 2008, 05:22 AM) Periodically, younger members of the TRF may feel that they are "ripped" by older members. Just a side note, people in their mid years get "ripped" by people older than they are! When it comes to an age gap being the seeming cause for a disagreement, it may never have even came to mind until it's brought up as an accusation. I've only ever seen it once or twice, and it's only happened once to me. Oh hang on, referring to the only time it's happened to me, I think that may have been by you! How funny is that? Mustard Death
The only "age disagreement" I've had is people messaging me, accusing me of not really being 17. Oh, and if this is considered an age related disagreement, sorry. This thread sucks.

Show Don't Tell
QUOTE (rushgoober @ Jan 23 2008, 05:22 PM) QUOTE (Show Don't Tell @ Jan 23 2008, 03:20 PM) QUOTE (rushgoober @ Jan 23 2008, 12:00 PM) Rush fans tend to be of above average intelligence in general, and that seems to apply to our younger teen-age fans moreso than anyone. Most all of the teens here are wise beyond their years, and often more than the so-called older folks. I'm happy to be friends with almost anyone capable of holding an intelligent conversation, and I've rarely come across the person here who couldn't, regardless of age... Why, I'm flattered. I, myself am only 13. I turn 14 in March. I hope this doesn't cause any of you to think less of me. Get out of here, kid! Just kidding. ... OriginalFan
QUOTE (Cygnus The God Of Balance @ Jan 23 2008, 10:56 AM)Since I turn 43 today, I just wanted to say that I don't think there's a problem with old vs. young Rush fans on this board. I've talked to a lot of fans younger than me with no problems, and the few that are actually older than me, well we get along just fine too! Happy Birthday, Cygnus T.G.O.B! I thought for sure I'd be the oldest old fart on this board when I joined up last summer but have been pleasantly surprised at the broad range of ages represented. Given the fact that Rush has been around for three decades, though, it only stands to reason that a great many of their fans would be around four decades old. Despite that, I haven't seen any problems with age-related differences. Like another poster said, I'm glad to see a new generation digging the band. I agree Yep Yep! I haven't encountered any issues with communicating with people on this board across age or even gender boundaries. That's the great thing about having something in common we all agree upon!
