New Radio Order

Saturday December 15 Noon to 3 pm PST will be the premiere broadcast of my radio show New Radio Order. Topical music and talk. Regular features will be the showcasing of an entire album, Ashland News, New World Order News, and a rant or sermon. On occasion there will be a guest. Each show will have a theme, and the first one, in keeping with the primary purpose of the show, is Politics and Religion. Snakes and Arrows is the featured album and tracks from Jefferson Airplane's Volunteers will be included, with a little Shotakovich for drama.

I hope you'll join me. The time should be convenient for many people. Noon West Coast, 3 pm East Coast and 8 pm in the UK. If you're in Ashland you can listen at 94.9 LPFM and anyone on Earth can listen online. Winamp seems to work the best.

The show, Religion Politics Spirit, will feature Rush, with a complete playing of Snakes and Arrows and the Fear Trilogy from Grace Under Pressure Live. Other Rush will be mixed with tracks from Jefferson Airplane's Volunteers (1969). My special guest will be Rushgoober, host of Interdimensional Vortex on KSKQ Thursdays 5 to 7 pm PST. I hope you'll join us on the maiden voyage into the airwaves and onto the Cyber Sea.

Thanks for your interest. I had four people listening online, including my mama. She liked the Rush but enjoyed the Shostakovich more. Here's the setlist:

Volunteers ~ Jefferson Airplane (Volunteers)

Snakes and Arrows ~ Rush

Symphony 11, Movement 2, Ninth of January ~ Dimitri Skostakovich (Semyon Bychkov/Berliner Philharmoniker ~ Philips)

Enemy Within, The Weapon, Witch Hunt ~ Rush (Grace Under Pressure Live)

Second Nature ~ Rush (Hold Your Fire)

Wooden Ships ~ Jefferson Airplane (Volunteers)

Freeze ~ Rush (Vapor Trails)

Good Shepherd ~ Jefferson Airplane (Volunteers)

Ghost of a Chance ~ Rush (Roll the Bones)

Closer to the Heart ~ Rush (Grace Under Pressure Live)

Born Never Asked ~ Laurie Anderson (Big Science - theme music)

I'll post the link when the archive is downloaded. Thanks again for listening!

If anyone wants to check out Grizz's debut show, you can hear it here:

New Radio Order - 12/15/07

This is from last Saturday. I'm on his show as a guest at parts, but it's mostly his show and it features, among other things, Snakes & Arrows in its entirety. biggrin.gif

Since it was his first show, Grizz didn't have a folder on the computer to put his show in at the station, so we put it in mine until they sorted it out.

Here are the archives of the shows. I failed to record the Dec 29 show featuring Laurie Anderson, The Mars Volta and the Kronos Quartet. I'm sure we'll get back to all three in the future. I will add the links to future shows to this post.

12/15/07 ~ Jefferson Airplane, Rush and Shostakovich featuring Rush's 2007 album Snakes and Arrows

The Mars Volta New Years Eve on New Radio Order Saturday!

This Saturday we will listen to The Mars Volta New Years Eve show in San Francisco. It's a great sounding boot provided by our pal Feldspar who accompanied me that night dressed a Rasta Vader.

Be sure to listen Saturday at Noon PST, 3 pm EST and 8 pm GMT.

I thought you hated it here. confused13.gif Or is it that our board isn't good enough for you to hang out on but it's good enough to advertise your show?

That's where I'd put my money.

Actually Jack my board is thriving, filled with wonderful people and great discussions.

There are many nice people here who love The Mars Volta and they deserve to have the opportunity to here this great recording.

I'm glad you can you this site as an opportunity to spread the word, then.

And in turn, I'm sure you won't mind TRF members posting there to see if the wonderful people would like to have their great discussions here as well.

Enjoy! trink39.gif

Sir, I'm not talking about your board I'm talking about this one.

Not too long ago you said how much you hated it here but now you're back to pimp your little show. It seems to me that if you hated it here so much you would stay away. I'm sure you understand my confusion.

Hate war falsehoods (that's a little joke.)
