I noticed that the Cranberries is not included in that list.

The OP is Irish, it's enshrined in our constitution that Irish nationals must never list them as an Irish band.

A travesty, yes, a lump of festering monkey shite, yes, but a band? Never.

A pox on their houses.

actually, I bought their first album the same time as Counterparts. I listened to Cranberries more than Counterparts.

There's your problem right there.

laugh.gif

And you listened to a garbage band instead!

(But, I'm with you on CP. Not good.)

That's all the Cranberries you need. And don't listen to Hatchey, his consuming hatred has blinded all reason bitchslap.gif

When the Cranberries first hit they were considered a lite version of The Sundays. That's ok by me.

I used to like Moloko a lot as well, but they don't qualify I have since found out.

"Zombie" is awful and that John Lennon song is worse.

When I say the Cranberries, I am specifically talking about that I liked the first album. They seemed to change with their second album and I didn't care for it.

I still love many of the tunes on their first album. It's just so....1993! Takes me back.

What galls me is around that time Ireland had some great bands, and this lump of baby vomit rose to the top. Amazing.

I like a lot of early Enya. Around 1990 and 1991 I was playing "Watermark" and "Shepherd Moons" a lot!

I remember getting Shepherd Moons a couple of months after Roll the Bones, so both of these got lots of play on my stereos.

I like Sinead O'Connor's album "The Lion and The Cobra" who has Enya performing on one of my fave tunes called "Never Get Old". The whole album though is pretty damn good, despite all the press Sinead got in later years.

Awful? It's the only song from the Cranberry's that I can tolerate. laugh.gif
