ladirushfan80 Posted August 6, 2006 Share Posted August 6, 2006 So Sundog and I had been planning a little get together for a couple weeks now.... she in windsor, me just outside of Detroit it HAD to happen! we're just TOO CLOSE not to do it!!http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/aiw/yes.gif so, we set the place and time...Mexican Town, in Mexican Village.... just over the bridge for her..... about a 1/2 hour drive for me...http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/aiw/good.gif then, Sundog gets Netgirl, Chaotica, and Blonde77th to come along for the ride!! ...this should be FUN! http://fool.exler.ru/sm/ura1.gif but now, i wonder..... who shall I bring? i mean....first of all, i live in the suburbs.....WAY far outside of Detroit....i'm SCARED to go down to the 'Hood'....ESPECIALLY by myself! http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/aiw/fie.gif the last time i went to downtown detroit was for a Red Wings Game....http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/aiw/nhl2.gif you get on the Freeway....it dumps you right to 'the Joe'...you go in, you watch the game...you leave....'the Joe' spits you right back on the highway....you go back home to your little suburban life....no problem....simple... but here, i have to drive in unchartered territory! i need a partner in crime! i tried 'Immortal For A Limited Time'... she lives in a neighboring city/town....thought she'd enjoy a little girls night out!....well, she had a previous engagement... so she couldn't go.... (next time, girls...)...hubby is away on a fishing weekend w/ the boy.... so he's out... so i asked my best friend, Kenny (no, not necro....) to come along.... he says yes.... YAY! now i have someone to go with me!! (like really, how could he say no? he was the ONLY GUY in our party of six..... pretty nice ratio of men to women i'd say...) so now... it's saturday..... the day of our gathering.... i spent a little time on this board... then Chaotica PM's me....she says..."bring your suit...after dinner we can hop back across the border....go to my house...i have a pool...
