BAD albums from GOOD artists

Zep's Presence is their best album IMHO! How can one detest Achilles Last Stand, Nobody's Fault But Mine and Tea For One. The cover was just spellbinding and was the first Zep album I personally owned. ITTOD was my second Zep album. My older sister had Zep 2 and Zep 4.

HYF

Leave HYF alone rage.gif

Agreed. It has a couple a songs that I don't LOVE, but it makes a strong eight-song play list in the iPod.

ok...lemme guess...

Tai Shan and High Water, right comp26.gif

Yeah there you guys go raggin' on my favorite songs again 1287.gif tongue.gif

My eight-song HYF list in the iPod (because I don't think any Rush album does well past eight songs...)

Force 10

Time Stand Still

Open Secrets

Prime Mover

Lock & Key

Mission

Turn the Page

Tai Shan

Yes - Open Your Eyes

a truly awful record by a truly wonderful band

Yeah I agree, I think that pretty much anything released after Tales From Topographic Oceans was kind of mediocre

Iron Maiden - most albums after 7th Son

I actually really like Brave New World, but that's the only post-7Soa7S material I've heard.

BNW has it's moments, but it definitely has some rehash.

The Mercenary or some shit like that. The nomad. Enough with

the "character" songs already... Enough with the "The" songs already.

The Trooper

The Prisoner

The Clairvoyant

The Assassin

The Nomad

The Clansman

Ok, I get it already.

Try another formula for a while.

Relayer - Mediocre?

Going For The One - Mediocre?

Tormato - The mighty Tormato!! - Mediocre?

Drama - Mediocre??

and so on.....

I find the post Topographic era the most interesting.

And Yes and Time and A Word are FANTASTIC!!

But, I think we all agree on Open Your Eyes.

Led Zeppelin - In Through the Out Door

I originally hated ITTOD and Presence, but after a while they sort of grew on me.

Presence takes a few listens. I didn't think much of it at first, either, but now "Tea For One" is one of my favorites.

Oh man, when Jimmy plays the blues... wub.gif

Sorry. back to Earth...

REM really hasn't come up with anything since Automatic For The People. Monster and Up were both just - awful. I'm beginning to think they should have quit in 1999 like they originally planned to.

Rush - Roll the Bones. I like "Dreamline" and the instrumental, but that's about it.

Agreed, Its easily my least favorite album now. HYF moved up a bit, after I listened to it, of course i still hate 75% of the album, but

Force Ten

Mission

Turn The Page

Are ok. TTP is easily the best song on the album.

Oh, I also like Face Up on RTB, but i'm not crazy about the instrumental.

Scratch that. RTB is my Second least favorite album.

Test For Echo is my least favorite album. Driven and the Title Track are the only good songs off of it. I like 2 songs from RTB, but I half like 2 other tracks, which gives it more "points" than T4E.

Ya. Test For Echo by Rush. Bad album by a Good band.
