Inthend Posted May 12, 2006 Share Posted May 12, 2006 Something happened to me today that I thought might make a good thread. I was on a ladder today as ususal. Painting as usual. Up about 20ft. and I feel something on my face that felt like a spider web. Well, I brushed my face with my hand to try and get it off. Couple of seconds go by and I still feel it on my face. Brush it again and I still feel it. Then I feel it on my hand. Look down at my hand and there's about a 100 tiny baby spiders all over my hand! Guess how many were on my face?!!! Oh my God! They were all over my face! Hundreds and hundreds of tiny spiders! I start rubbing my hands, face, arms, whatever. And now their starting to spread. I just know they're getting in my hair, everywhere! Climb down off the ladder and go try and drown them with the water hose. That got most of um, and i squashed a few that were left individually. People, spiders were crawling on my lips today. And I'm tellin' ya, It ain't no picnic. If you also have had a fear factor experience, Let's hear about it. Ghost of a Rider Posted May 13, 2006 Share Posted May 13, 2006 It's funny, I don't much like having one crawl on me but I find them to be fascinating creatures. But that reminds me of something that happened in my house once. I saw this rather large spider under my kitchen table and the abdomen area looked strange to me, it looked all bristly. I get a jar to trap it and bring it outside. When I trapped it is when I found out what the "bristles" were; tiny baby spiders riding on her back. Still, when I opened the front door one day and saw that slender black head, flicking tongue and glittering eyes peering around from the other side of the door at me. . .well, it gave me quite a start. I slammed the door, went out the back and came around the front to get a better look at the snake. Yep, there was about 6 feet of blacksnake coiled around the door handleset. I used to work at a small resteraunt...I was working the drive thru window one night and apparently some spiders had hatched, because as you said...there were hundreds and hundreds of little spiders everywhere. Everytime I would open the drive thru window to take an order or deliver food, they would get on me...I flipped out and my boss tried to send me home because I was freaking out so bad. When I was younger I worked in a retail store and got sent to one of the store down by the water front. I thought okay not to bad until I went into the back room to pull out the boxes of new inventory to do a display. RATS - RATS everywhere RATS!!!!
