Invasion of the SPAMMERS!!  Starting about two months ago, my Facebook page has been buried in spam posts.  Almost every day, I have to block dozens of posts from spammers.  The posts are very diverse: news, sports, arts, adult (vulgar) stuff.

I don't use Facebook very often, but when I do, it is a total hassle because of this spam garbage.  Facebook's privacy and security center is NOT user friendly.

Does anyone have any constructive advice on how to solve this?

I've followed all the recommended ways to keep that from happening, but it still does. There are some that have pictures of some celebrity's head on someone else's body, usually dressed in a swim suit or otherwise scantily clad. I report every one of them and block to page, but new one's keep showing up. It's almost like when you report something, some algorithm links that kind of thing to your profile and sends you more of it.

I may just delete my account, which won’t be the end of the world.  All the family and friends with whom I keep in touch have my phone number, so it’s all good.

I just hate letting spammers get the best of me…..

It's annoying AF.   I've given up blocking and trying to manage it.  I jsut use FB less. Which is a shame, because there are some good peeps there, and I'm in a few groups with people who'd I'd never be able to interact with in meatspace.

Are you able to change your password? Not sure if that would help

I’ve done that before…a while ago.  I will do it again and see what happens.

Wait. You pean posts on your actual own  home page? If so, chance settings to only friends can post.and change to only friends can view your posts.

And, don't click on anything, it does change the algorithm.
