Best to round down to your gender assigned at birth if you're not sure, IMO

Back in the day we had Tom Boys, language was simple, people knew what sports team they belonged on, what locker rooms to use, what doctors to see.

Overconsumption is not progress.

Except the average person who used to buy a sedan is now buying a "midsize SUV" (ideally 3 row, even if they have 1-2 kids).

Sedans hold less of the market share now than they ever have.

Crash standards do not prevent small cars. Look at my Miata, it is virtually exactly the same length as the 1990 original. Look how reasonably sized the current Corolla is.

Crash standards do have a lot to do with the decreasing greenhouse in modern cars though. Not enough windows, too much bodywork! Door sill lines keep going upward with each new generation!

That 00's Challenger is huge because 1. they used an old large Mercedes platform since they didn't have money to actually engineer their own car and 2. their customers had grown to typically be fat f***s by 2008, requiring a larger vehicle for their irresponsibly larger bodies

That is actually an exaggerated myth about the old E-class.

At the time, and probably still, a lot of people think is that we were just given the old E-class stuff, and that’s not true at all. They were doing the new E-class, code named the 211, and they launched that one year before we launched the LX. They would invite us and we’d go over and we’d go on their two-day road trips around the neighborhood, you know, in the Autobahn in Germany and Austria development trips, with the new E-class. We’d participate in that and compare notes, because we basically modeled our suspension after that new 211 with a couple of things that we did differently.

The idea that we were just kind of given the old stuff, and that here you go, just take the old E-class and put your Dodge or Chrysler skin on it, that wasn’t it at all.

So… they actually platform shared with a somewhat newer E class and copied their suspension and changed a couple things here and there? Certainly doesn’t sound like they developed their own platform.

My grandma told me that I was not raised to take advantage of the system. I am disabled, the system that should be helping isn't even designed to help me.

Being raised by republicans was crazy because disability and queerness were packaged as something unfortunate that happens to other people. It's always their fault for needing help. It's their fault for not conforming. Just conform and keep working because it's simply the easier route (if you're straight/cis and/or abled).

The development of the RWD cars was long underway before the merger of equals, then synergy happened.  BTW, Chrysler Corp was flush with cash at the time, the merger MB was just a German cash grab. Lido picked the wrong guy to replace him. Instead of Bob Lutz he chose Bob Eaton who basically sold Mopar to MB for a nice parachute.
