launchpad67a
QUOTE (rushgoober @ Apr 10 2006, 01:35 PM) QUOTE (launchpad67a @ Apr 10 2006, 10:06 AM) Nice RG, Got enough stuff running in your system tray?? 3 java applets...wow For some reason whenver I open a java thing like chat or whatever, it puts another one down there and when I get out of it, it's still there! Is that a bad thing? Well, it's using up all kinds of system resources. I guess if you don't see a drop in performance then don't worry about it. When you close an application that uses java, the icon should also disappear, shortly after the application shuts down. You can go to Start>Run> and type MSCONFIG then go to the Startup tab and see if java is starting when you reboot your computer. There is no reason to ever run java until it's needed, so turn them all off. Also, you can Ctrl+Alt+Delete to see which 'processes' are running at anytime. Shut anything down that you don't need. The bar on the top with all of the quickstart buttons is a program called Objectdock. Everything else (calander, weather, clock, and iPod) are from Yahoo Widgets.
