  3. QUOTE (Slime @ Aug 19 2007, 03:10 PM) For clarification - she is my COUSIN, not my niece. You aren't the first person to get that wrong either Sorry Slime.... my mistake... I should have known that She still is adorable none the less!

  5. QUOTE (-D-RocK- @ Jun 21 2007, 05:03 PM) Nice day up north, Yellowknife: Sunny 17c/67f. Yes.......lots and lots of daylight...... Lucky! I wish I was up there... (someday.. I may be!)
  6. Just had some wicked bad stuff roll threw here. Sky to Ground lightning, pretty much constant rumbling thunder, torrential downpours (my parking lot was flooded) and hail... lots of hail... *pinging* off windshields. Now... normally, storms break apart at Piction Island and go north and south of the city, so we almost never get hit really bad. This bad boy came in from the north, and pretty much settled over the city for over an hour and a half, and there is still a little more to go.
  7. QUOTE (Dread Pirate Robert @ May 9 2007, 10:45 PM) QUOTE (rushengal @ May 9 2007, 08:28 PM) This is one of my favorite movies. I don't cry at much.... but the end of this brought a tear to my eye. Would it be un-manly for me to admit that this movie brings tears to my eyes as well, even after seeing it twice before? Not at all. I've seen it dozens of times, and I still get teary eyed.

  13. QUOTE (blonde77th @ Mar 15 2007, 12:25 PM) QUOTE (rushengal @ Mar 15 2007, 12:14 PM) QUOTE (-D-RocK- @ Mar 15 2007, 11:39 AM) Next time you see a report on the news about the polar ice caps melting.....don't believe it! -36c up here this morn'. And windy!.....windchill: -50c The forcast is calling for the same for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to spring and summer. Yea.... its the windchill that will always get you. They can forcast a fairly nice day... but once that wind hits.... its gone, and all you are left with is a bitter cold. Dress Warm Wow Dress in Triple Layers And don't stay out in the cold to long... that kind of windchill would probably freeze any exposed extremities in 10 minutes or less. But.... you probably know all this Just sayin because we care

  15. Fog and Rain..... Followed by Rain and Fog. It gets a little depressing when you look out a window and you cant see the trees like 10ft from the window.
  16. QUOTE (rushengal @ Feb 6 2007, 07:42 AM) -13, feels like -21.... and I'm not leaving my house today. Forget that... I'm going to class... with a stop off at shoppers before hand for some cold medicine. Oh! And the temp has not changed yet.

  19. QUOTE (alphseeker @ Feb 5 2007, 08:52 PM) Freaking global warming I tell you -- It was 89 in east San Diego today - I'd rather have the 07 Degree blistering cold any day over that - I'm from Montreal so i can take it - Both my parents are from Montreal... and they say the same thing They love the cold. Rather cold then hot any day. Right now... it is 68 in my house... and its beautiful
  20. -17, feels like -27. Going up to -26 later today, and back down to -30 tonight. And... as usual, there is always the chance for snow squalls at any given time with almost no warning. And... I'm not leaving the college at all today.
  21. -13, feels like -22 Wind chill and Snowsquall warning in effect till later tonight. No different then yesterday when I had to walk outside for about 10 minutes, then wait another 15 for my mom to pick me up (I had to walk to the nearest main street after re-certifying my CPR/First Aid) It was only a little cold... and I only lost feeling in one hand because I was on my cell phone canceling plans with a friend... because of the weather, and she told me she was feeling a little sickly... so I figured walking around downtown was a BAD idea... especially when winds were gusting at 70 kph.
  22. QUOTE (blonde77th @ Feb 4 2007, 06:27 PM) minus 16 windchill -26 & getting Lake affect snow white outs here right now & under a Wind chill warning Same Here. Same yesterday. Don't really mind Got out first thing this morning and shoveled the drive-way and walkway with my Brother. We were lucky though. Our neighbour.. the cool one with the snowblower blew out the bottom of the driveway... with the packed snow from the plows. The only downside... Supposed to be a -43 wind chill tomorrow morning, so I'm actually getting my mom to drive me.. thats a little too cold to wait at the bus stop (I like having feeling in extremities ) and this is only because I don't like leaving my house in my sweatpants, and jeans tend to freeze in this weather. If I become brave by tomorrow, and wear then, then off to the stop I go I thee Snow Lord
  23. Having to get up early to head down to the haunted Red Cross building to re certify my CPR for school.
