Dan Fogelberg-The Wild Places (4/10)

Yea by 1991 Dan's time had come and gone this is just slick Adult contemporary Bullshit.  and preachy too.  ugh.

Not a good sign here when the two best tracks are covers.

there are a number of singer/songwriters who made the transition past the 80's just fine.  Dan is not on the list.

Biffy Clyro- The Myth Of The Happily Ever After

Gosh...like The Killers, Biffy released two great albums one after the other...then quiet.

I love them, miss them, and can't wait for more.

that's a shame.  one of the best albums of the 80's and i firmly believe that.  buy it if you find it.  i found it real cheap on amazon. it's on our spotify but i had to own it.

Angel-Angel (10/10)

This is a band where i only like one album.  i've heard it all and was kinda let down i didn't get the same high the debut gave me.

but my god is their debut a pure gem.

it blew me away when i heard it.

I love this album...can't at all find fault in what you say here, it really was a steep decline after this

this is an example of showing your whole hand all at once.  Boston did the same.  not saying it's a bad thing but it's like anything you do will be compared to your high bar that you set.
