A lot of modern classics on this list which stir all the nostalgic feelings. And it's not all cheese!

But how the hell did Three Men & A Baby earn more than everything else in '87. Lethal Weapon and Witches of Eastwick were at #9 and #10 respectively that year, and both were loads better imho.

I haven't seen Three Men and A Baby in ages. So, I don't know how it's held up. But the three main characters were all riding the biggest waves of popularity in their careers at the time. It's success might have more to do with perfectly timed casting than being a great movie.

What about Poltergeist, Ghostbusters and Gremlins? Those didn't gross enough to make the list?

I haven't seen Three Men and A Baby in ages. So, I don't know how it's held up. But the three main characters were all riding the biggest waves of popularity in their careers at the time. It's success might have more to do with perfectly timed casting than being a great movie.

What about Poltergeist, Ghostbusters and Gremlins? Those didn't gross enough to make the list?

You're probably right about Selleck, Danson, and Guttenberg in '87. I enjoyed it at the time but I don't remember it being that remarkable. And I thought Fatal Attraction (#2 that year) and Good Morning, Vietnam (#4) would've topped it.

For their years, Poltergeist ('82) was #8, and in '84 Ghostbusters was #2, and Gremlins #4.

Some movie that originally starred Eric Stoltz.

Technically, for all of 1984, 1987 and 1988, the number ones were Ghostbusters, Beverly Hills Cop II and Roger Rabbit in that order since the original BHC and Three Men and Rain Man came out around Christmas. Roger Rabbit is a close 2nd for me, oddly enough, since it’s also Zemeckis. WFRR was the movie that made me really love cinema as a kid. Saw it 3 times in theaters and constantly watched it on Showtime and VHS.

Yeah that sounds like a typical story of internet (shenanigans) romance. Most of that shit, like 95%, doesn't work out, most people are just playing games on their computer, but the people on the other end don't realise they're getting played until later.

I've only seen Highlander once a million years ago when it first appeared on HBO or Cinemax.

Some of the stuff in Temple seemed a bit too much even for an Indy Jones movie. Example: The falling raft out of the airplane landing on the side of the mountain, then off a cliff, through some rapids, and ending up in some perfectly calm stream waters in India.

Still was a fun movie though.
