jnoble
I somehow didn't notice until just last night that the latter-day performances of NS omitted the second brief guitar solo towards the end and the "Art as expression, not as market campaigns" lyric. thizzellewashington
I think they just trimmed it down to fit it into the setlist without having to cut other songs.
jnoble
I guess. But it only saved like, what, a minute and a half? Lol
Lurkst
It's a pretty naff solo TBH.
rocket ignites
I don't like messing with perfection.
ytserush
They liked the arrangement and think the song flows better. (I just wish they didn't lose that verse. It's a favorite of mine. I thought they screwed the song up in Albany in 1996 because of that, but they kept on doing it that way.) At least there's the choice to listen to it either way now. ytserush
I love the live version from 1980 but the arrangement in 96-97 just sounds so fresh in spite of the missing verse.
