You make a good point, but you know for Pittsburghers, the emotionally best World Series game ever is October, 1960, even after all these years, even if they weren't around at the time! Collective history and all that. It's still a big thing, believe it or not.As it should be. That's among the top 5 WS games of all time, in my opinion, and in the top half of that. YMMV, but you have to count 2016, 1960, 1991, (which if you like pitchers duels could be #1), 1955, and 1912 for deciding games. I don't remember the 1993 Phi-Tor 15-14 game all that well which was the game that was referenced way too much last night, but last night ranks up there with 2011 Game Six (StL over Tex) and of course 1975's and 1986's game sixes for best non-final game. Of course, 1960 was a classic case of David vs Goliath, with the Yankee juggernaut outscoring the Pirates 55-27 over the seven games. I actually met Tony Kubek at a church convention.
