Their first two albums are, indeed, excellent.

Jeff Watson was in a band with Rainbow's Joe Lynn Turner at one point.

Wait Rick. Please tell me more. I know you are correct. I should have these cds. Japanese pressings I think LOL

Do you know the album titles?

Yes

The first two Night Ranger records are EPIC!

I just listened to "7 Wishes" tonight. Hence my cheesy title of this thread but man I adore this record.

You could see where the band was headed.

Down Sentimental Fukk Off MTV Street.

It pissed me off but I do love their third record. Alas that was it.

However hypocritically I still buy every record by the band.

I have to support them. Local band. Local talent.

Brad is my buddy. I love him.

https://en.wikipedia...ther's_Army

It always struck me as interesting Brad Gillis got the Ozzy gig. Watson seemed like a more natural fit for a Randy replacement.

I wore out my vinyl copy of Dawn Patrol.

So funny Rick! I wore out my Dawn Patrol cassette!

So here is another true story. I know I could be a broken record.

Did you know the Ozzy and Sharon offered Dave Meniketti the gig before Brad?

Ozzy actually got on his hands and knees and begged Dave to join his band.

Dave politely declined stating that his band Y&T was on the rise.

Ironically it was Leonard Haze who founded Yesterday & Today............

I didn't know that. Marc Storace did the exact same thing when AC/DC approached him after Bon died.

Damn autocorrect! :)

I know buddy! I remember taking the ex wife up to Reno to see KROKUS many years ago! It was a blast! After the show we partied with Marc and the band! Marc told me right to my face that AC/DC wanted him in the band. I perfect fit for my taste. However Arista Records would not let Marc out of his contract so he couldn't switch bands!!!!!

Long may you rant & rave on here. Your honesty is refreshing, at times infuriating, at times heartbreaking, but mostly hilarious. Gloriously irreverent & agenda-free.

You're a wizard, a true star. Never change.

Oh my God! I am honored and flattered by your post. I may be "insane" or "crazy" but yes, I am real. I will never change my friend. I love you!

Yes my dear cat!! All bands that I love!!!!!! Most people rip Winger for being weak and hair metal cheese. Yet they are actually all top notch musicians. Kip is very talented. My favorite guys in the band are Reb Beach on guitar and of course one of the greatest drummers in the world was also in Winger! Rod Morgenstein on drums!! Dixie Dregs/The Dregs!!!

Good thing. I do love Krokus up to and including Headhunter. But I agree he would have been perfect.

Night Ranger is a great band.

The first 2 albums are stone cold classics. I played them to death when I was a kid.

In fact, every album up to Man In Motion is excellent. That one was their last great album.

Great live band, saw them at the Fillmore the last time I was in Norcal.

Joel Hoekstra was great in the band too.

They're still making good albums too.

Love Somewhere In California.

I like the new album.

One of my favorite bands since high school and on my concert bucket list (I'm bummed I haven't seen them live yet). And I like the scene where they play Sister Christian in Boogie Nights, its a little intense.

Kip Winger! :ebert:

I love you Cat! Yes! He's so underrated!

Everyone just talks about the first two Winger records. I think they are MTV commercial rock. Not a huge fan to be honest. However Winger's third album is KILLER!

The executives at ATCO or ATLANTIC were done with Winger even after they brought their third album to the table.

The execs laughed and rejected the record.

Kip was so pissed off he called that Winger third disc, "PULL."

Do you know why gang?

Because it was a metaphor for PULL! Skeet shooting!!!!

The record is Winger's heaviest.

Remember, Rush Fan.

Mercury was about to drop RUSH on their ass after their third album.

Thank the Universe above 2112 shot off like a bottle rocket on the Fourth Of July! Whoops! I mean on Bastille Day durning "Lakeside Park!"

Winger is underrated.

I love my underrated hard rock, heavy metal and hair metal.

I am a lucky fukker.

OMG LEANNE!!

Get on it!!! I am sure Night Ranger will play Rocklahoma! But yes! YOU MUST GO! I'm spoiled living in the Bay Area. Night Ranger's hometown.

I love Brad. Great guy. So nice.

Met Jack too. Amazing guy.

So blessed. Rock And Roll is forever in my soul.

I think I indirectly chose music over a woman.

So far I made the right choice.

Kelly Keagy always does a helluva job at one of the hardest things ever: singing and playing drums. I never could play and sing at the same time.

Sincerely,

Phil Collins and Levon Helm

HAHAHA! Love the post RED!

Don't forget about Peter Criss and Roger Taylor!

I just saw QUEEN with Adam Lambert. I took my awesome parents! It was a great show.

All I wanted was to hear Brian May shred and Roger sing "I'm In Love With My Car." I got it baby! AMAZING!

Super25Smasher loves Night Ranger. He'll be all over this thread.

Jonny!!

"Don't Tell Me You Love Me" mate!

The new album is good. I have the UK pressing and the Japanese pressing too.

Tonight I thought of you.

In my five disc changer I played:

7 Wishes

Black Tiger

Midnight Madness

Meanstreak

Dawn Patrol

I mean really?

This genre of music never gets old. Rush Humans on here bash the genre.

I love both genres.

Perhaps I am the psycho. The insane one.

I've listened to these albums 1000's of times in my life.

Like all the Rush records up to "Counterparts"

So what!

It makes me happy. Please don't Aaron Judge me people.

I had "blank" with Wendy 1000's of times. She is gone.

Rush is gone.

I lost my ex wife and Rush both in 2015.

Kills me.

Yet ironically I am better off.

We all are human.

We all have issues and drama.

I wish all of you the best in life.

Jonny.

I hope your life is going well.

Life isn't fair mate.

I could be alone for the rest of my life and I will be happy.

I have loved. I have my girls.

I am blessed.

I have my parents.

My friends, like you Jonny.

I am serious.

If you come out to The Mystic I will be there for both nights.

If you choose not to decide, I mean not go to those Y&T shows then I will stay home.

Love you J!

You won't be happy to learn that both times I saw them I was maybe 10' away. Try to see them in a smallish venue.
