I thought that too, but the expanded video shows that there only about 30 people (likely contest winners) which is kind of a small which kind of makes sense that he would be relaxed in that context. He considered it "work" on top of already very demanding work and also has a very real social anxiety issue so interacting with people like this was a big deal. He cherished his free time on tours so I'm shocked he did this. Must have lost a bet. I'm not knowledgable about drumming, but it's still cool to see Neil do this and make it through it.
