Pressure/Hopenosis
I was this || close to picking the 48 car because he's had so much success at that track in the past several years, but Logano did okay.I was right with you. Second guessing can be a bitch...
Cygnus 2112
Next week I'll wait until after qualifying to make a pick. Just so people are clear with the rules, you can change after you make a pick if the race didn't start yet, just in case you need to pick early again; or later or something.I understand the rules, I made my pick way early, then KyBusch wrecked in practice and didn't qualify. And I didn't pay attention to anything until today.

I'm the opposite, I forget to post my pick and then run and have to do it fast.

Taking a ride in a lower car would of set him back a few years.

Somebody should write a song about Sr dying and call it, "The Day The Racing Died". Some 12 minute opus lime American Pie.
KenJennings
I don't really get too concerned about declining attendance. People talk about 'the health of the sport', and I think back to the ~2004-2008 era when NASCAR attendance was as high as it will probably ever be, and the racing back then was crap. The cars looked ridiculous, Jimmie was winning everything, there were more commercials than ever, and the sport had grown so technological that it lost any organic touch. So, as a fan of racing, I really don't care about the health of the sport. NASCAR is better as a smaller, cheaper show. Lower budgets produce better competition. As long as the sport is viable enough to find air time on some obscure cable network, I'm ok with it. I don't feel like NASCAR has anything to prove to the stick and ball guys. thesweetscience
Hopefully Larson gets the call to the 88. Chevrolet needs to lock him down as the future of their brand. Will Ganassi want to let him go? Chase Elliott could be the future of the Chevy brand. Larson has been around a little longer but I think Chase is going to be a dominant driver in the future. He made the chase last year and has been consistently around the top 5 this year and is 2nd it points. As a fan of Hendricks in general, I would love to see Larson in the 88 but I am not sure it will happen.
