Wishbone AshRoxy MusicUriah HeepKing CrimsonAsiaFamilyUK What a legacy. May he rest in peace. I just heard this. Sad news. I didn't know he played with Wishbone Ash though. He also played with a band called Mogul Thrash(before KC and Family). RIP John. Edited January 31, 2017 by New_World_Man

Mystic Slipperman
Man... this one hurts. The first Asia record was HUGE for me all through 1982. Later on I got into Crimson and heard what wonderful things he did with them... then U.K. and recently Family. RIP John... rattle their cages with your big bass sound and beautiful voice up in the ether, man!
Wil1972
Losing a lot of bass players lately ... crazy. Hope our resident favorite bassist still has many years left in him! RIP Mr. Wetton. Edited January 31, 2017 by Wil1972
Union 5-3992
Aside from KC and Asia, he was also a highlight in Ayreon's The Theory of Everything
LakesideShark
This one hurts quite a lot. I always seem to get really affected by the deaths of Progressive Rock musicians more than any others for some reason. I've been sad about this all morning since before I went to work. :(RIP John. Digital Dad
He was a great rhythm section mate of Bill Bruford in Crimson and in UK. They had a kinetic fire nearly inpossible to replicate.

RUSHHEAD666
NO WAY! GOD!!!!! I will try to remain calm and cool.No fuckking way.Is this a hoax?I just went through an ASIA phase last week!!! I know all of our mortal rock heroes are dying but really?? This is just beyond sad. Thank God or whoever that I took my parents to see ASIA in SF a few years ago! It was their last show in America before hitting Japan! They played the entire ASIA album through! My dad brought the purple bracelet with the actual recording of the show! I am in tears. RUSHHEAD666
I can't even listen to the first ASIA album tonight. Too hard. I hope my friends on here get me. Yes, I can be a nancy boy too over my favorite musicians passing away. It's hard for me. I was into ASIA when I was merely a boy. I am sure some of you would say that I am still that boy. So what. I just got off the phone with my father who is almost 80.He was shocked too. He remembered everything about that show I took him and my mom to! Amazing. I am so lucky. I have my parents and my daughters. I am blessed.
