treeduck
RIPÂ Ok let me just say that just for a minute I thought this was about some chess records keeper guru who'd died! Chess the game that it is. Edited October 20, 2016 by treeduck
blueschica
This brings back memories of high school, when the National Record Mart kept the "oldies" filed by record label behind the counter. I liked Chuck Berry and used to make the guy pull the records from the Chess bin, but I didn't know the meaning of the name back then. RIP, Phil. You and your brother Leonard brought great music to the world.

Blue J
Dug out some Willie Dixon on Chess vinyl today. Thank you Phil, rest in peace. Only Chess LP I have is Buddy Guy- I Was Walking Through the Woods. But since I had just read the story in the middle of my work day, I put on Muddy Waters in the car during my lunch break.
