I really am looking for sad rock/metal songs that are in the vein of Lacuna Coil, Evanescence, Delain and Within Temptation.

 

Preferably songs about not having hope and the world being f***ed up.

Dark Side of the Moon is an album that I now cringe at but loved when I was much younger and pained.

How is DSotM in any way a cringe inducing album?

I never felt the album was sad even with those topics. The Wall has a much sadder feel to it.

I never felt the album was sad even with those topics. The Wall has a much sadder feel to it.

Well, I never thought it was sad either. Just trying to come up with a possible answer.

 

Dark Side is still one of my favorite albums of all time. Definite top 5.

 

And yeah, I think The Wall feels sadder too.

In general I find Pink Floyd dark and depressing, but others may not. That's life.
