  1. QUOTE (drgrendel @ May 29 2012, 05:02 PM) I checked outside because that is where I will be - far away from technology and this Rush effort. Probably will wait to the Pittsburgh show to hear anything from CA. Just not that into it... Not into the 3 tracks so far? Or new rush in general? Trying to understand your reluctance....
  2. QUOTE (Rushman14 @ May 16 2012, 05:48 PM) After Avengers, it almost seems like it's taking itself too seriously. I just hope I dont need subtitles to understand what the hell Bane is saying. Does anyone know what he says in the trailer, when asked " what are you?". He says "I'm gotham's__________". Wtf does he say?
  3. QUOTE (snowdog212 @ May 24 2012, 10:53 PM) Double Agent.... RUSH Metal at there best No, that would be all the world's a stage... Double agent does kick serious booty though.
  4. Are the people who hate on dog years not "dog people"?
  5. QUOTE (HowItIs @ May 17 2012, 09:25 PM) QUOTE (Del_Duio @ May 17 2012, 04:46 AM) QUOTE (HowItIs @ May 14 2012, 03:46 AM) I have not seen the Capt. America movie but I will now. You should, I think it's #2 right behind Iron Man for the best of the pre-Avengers movies. I saw Avengers again last Saturday night, only this time in 3D. I'm not a huge 3D fan anymore, but it was actually worth it. Still couldn't hear what Hulk said after his "fight" with Loki though, everybody goes nuts for that part in the theater. It's on my "acquire" list now Interesting thing about our showing last Sunday... it was subtitled. Apparently we managed to show up for the showing for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. That turned out well, though, as we didn't miss any lines from the laughter. I had kinda hoped that I'd get a chance to use my meager ASL skills but the previews were going when we got seated and we stayed for the cookie, so nobody was left. ive seen them all in theatres and own the blu rays... after seeing the avengers i went back and watched cap. america again. it is such an important cog in the wheel...it's a great film by itself; but how it plays into the avengers is key. expecially the teseract... i also watched thor again after the avengers- puts a whole new spin on the loki/thor relationship and how loki goes anikan skywalker; so to speak. i'm going for averngers again today- 4th time. this time iMax.
  6. QUOTE (Snowman @ May 20 2012, 01:16 AM)It is not possible to write an review of a Rush album based on 1 listen. didn't you read the OP posting of the review? he gave a review after one listen...so i guess it IS possible. it's not possible for this guy to give a worthy review after one listen. most people around here could listen once and actually SAY SOMETHING about the tracks and the vibe of the album that was informative. give me the disc today (may 20) and i'll listen once and write a review. MK?

QUOTE (danielmclark @ May 16 2012, 11:05 AM) QUOTE (hughes&kettner @ May 16 2012, 09:25 AM) QUOTE (danielmclark @ May 16 2012, 07:26 AM) QUOTE (hughes&kettner @ May 16 2012, 04:37 AM) I know most of you won't understand the analogy...but predicting what the movie will be like based on a few trailers is about as pointless as predicting an nfl teams success based on draft and free agents in the off season. I'm sorry, could you maybe dumb it down for me? What is this n... f... l... that you speak of? And what is a... season? More to the point, it is *entirely* possible to come close to predicting how good a movie will be based on its trailers. Especially a movie like this. well, anything is possible i guess... you can predict all you want. we'll see on july 20th... or for blaze maybe in december or whenever it comes out in the far east. there have been plenty of awesome trailers that had all the good parts and left nothing for the film itself, and vice versa. the point is that saying how good bane or catwoman will or won't be is POINTLESS based on the trailer. you see like 15 seconds of them. is so hard to understand 'bout that? late, DBs If I had to rate their performance on a scale of 1-10 based on the trailers, no, of course that would be a ludicrous proposition. But if I were to predict that it would be "great", "good", "mediocre", "bad" or "terrible"? Using general words? I'll bet I can get pretty close. Not exact. But close. That's the entire purpose of trailers. What's so hard to understand 'bout that? once again...you're incorrect. trailers are there to sell the movie, you know- so folks will want to buy tix? not so smart a$$es can whine about how bane's or catwoman's costumes or general appearance are. try to get over yourself a little- not everyone cares about your blog. all my X's live in texas

If the SuperBowl winning team has all of its coaching staff and players returning for the following season, I'd guess that that team would at least make the playoffs. In this Batcase, Nolan and his returning crew are the SuperBowl winners so I'd guess that the film is at least going to make the playoffs. Oh, and I know that you probably won't understand the analogy you don't get to see or read about the NFL much in the far east there do ya? ever heard of a superbowl hangover? guess not...

  11. QUOTE (Tick @ May 9 2012, 08:57 AM) QUOTE (Del_Duio @ May 9 2012, 08:33 AM) QUOTE (Tick @ May 9 2012, 07:26 AM) QUOTE (Alex @ May 7 2012, 01:47 PM) Loved the movie. But Marvel sucks Go DC Alex, I understand you loving Batman, but seriously, how can you even remotely compare Marvel to DC? DC has Batman. What else do they have? Marvel has the X Men, Spiderman, The Avengers, and all its members individually. What does DC have to offer? Green Lantern? Superman? C'mon, its no contest. :pepsi Might be no contest now but who doesn't love Chris Reeves' Superman? He plays the part like RDJ plays Iron Man, perfectly cast. Yeah, but your talking about an actor in a Hollywood movie, not two rival comic book empires. Reeves and Downey Jr. were both awesome in their movies. That has nothing to do with an argument comparing Marvel to DC. Marvel is far superior to DC and its hard to dispute. no, it's not... by definition of all superheroes, superman could kill ALL of them. are you saying wolverine could kill superman? or green lantern? no f***ing way.
  12. QUOTE (Alex @ May 8 2012, 08:45 AM) QUOTE (hughes&kettner @ May 7 2012, 06:57 PM) QUOTE (ReRushed @ May 7 2012, 03:26 PM) I loved it. Top flight entertainment. And it's funny. But, I didn't walk out of the theater thinking it was the greatest superhero movie of all-time. It's certainly up there, though. Again, I LOVED it. not sure you can name a better superhero movie broseph... that was better than supermanII, the dark knight, ANY of the 90's batmans...and either iron man. not sure what you think is better than hulk being hulk, and thor, iron man and cpt america kicking loki's ass... plus scarlett is beyond hot in this movie. The Nolan Batmans I find are the best superhero movies out right now. Better than avengers because.....?
  13. QUOTE (Tick @ May 7 2012, 07:03 AM) QUOTE (Presto-digitation @ May 7 2012, 07:40 AM) I'd have traded Hawkeye (total bore) and Black Widow (certainly better) for The Vision and Scarlet Witch. Just sayin'... The movie broke a domestic record for opening day weekend in the $200K range! Scarlet Johanson's butt in 3D alone made her worthy of being in the film. her face and titties aren't bad either...

  16. QUOTE (BigBob @ May 4 2012, 03:52 PM)1) Best that I can - I love this song so much. It's just a great rock tune, without all the proggy stuff. I love Prog Rush, but Rush playing straight rock tunes is just awesome. Which brings up point # 2 2) Feedback is just a blast to listen to. Not many people talk about this album, I don't know why. It's so much fun to hear the boys annihilate these songs (in a good way) 3) Making Memories - Boy I love that one little high pitched riff in the song. It's just got an epic feel to it. 4) Snakes and Arrows isn't gonna magically get better for all you S&A haters out there, so stop your bitchin! Just listen to S&A and enjoy. 5) I loved the Live from Cleveland. Even though I hate Cleveland. (Sorry I'm a Pittsburgh guy, and we rock a lot harder than cleveland) Cool, Glad I got that out of my system rock a lot harder than cleveland? no fooking way broseph. i have seen several bands on several tours in both cleveland and pittsburgh. the cleveland crowds are louder than every pitts. audience. we may not know how to win football games, but we rock harder than everyone- did ya hear the end of the time machine DVD?? best audience ever?????? geddy would know. plus, no one wears ass-ugly black and yellow football jerseys here in c-town. bands ive seen in both cities... rush metallica alice in chains iron maiden van halen cleveland crowds destroyed pitts. crowds, every show. always have always will. we don't drink iron shitty beer either, and our weed is better.
  17. QUOTE (lsoblo @ May 6 2012, 04:10 PM) Does anyone know how the seats are numbered on the floor? Does seat one start on the left or right of the row when looking at the stage? tix for the Q date in cleveland not on sale yet,,,you know something i don't know? it's may 6th.
  18. QUOTE (danielmclark @ May 3 2012, 08:54 AM) It's better than all of them. I've seen it too... it's better than any superhero movie ever made. Name one, and the Avengers beats it. Yep, that includes the Dark Knight.
  19. QUOTE (ALifeson85 @ Apr 25 2012, 06:17 PM) Analog Kid Grand Designs Middletown Dreams Hemispheres Prelude Jacob's Ladder Afterimage Turn The Page Where's My Thing? Something For Nothing ANY few (or ALL) of the above would be great Hells yeah yo this list.
  20. metallica gave a DVD with St. Anger, which was them playing the songs live in the studio. i would pay $69.99 for a rush version of that with CA.
