Future releases you're excited about?

Well then... odd but ok. Microsoft can call the OS whatever they want as long as they don't pull another ME/Vista. -
I think the actor playing Kirk is capable of playing a strong version of the character, it's just that Roberto Orci is a hack of a writer.

I think you mean Windows 9? It is shaping up nicely. I'm glad it's free for anyone stuck on windows 8. Everyone will finally be able to stop complaining about how they're stuck on Windows 8 and start complaining about how Windows 9 looks like Windows 8 had a baby with Windows 7. :P -

I much prefer suspense-based films over horror & gore.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogGKBiMX8KU Me too. Quiet tension is more unsettling than straight up horror and I included several of those type of films in my list since the "horror" overlaps as well. Polanski was very effective with these as is Michael Haneke although I've only seen a few of his films. Films that fit into effective "quiet tension" for me, psychologically unsettling or creepy/disturbing: Vertigo Rear Window The Birds Rosemary's Baby The Tenant Repulsion Chinatown Taxi Driver Nosferatu: Phantom der Nacht The China Syndrome Let the Right One In Funny Games The Piano Teacher I Stand Alone Irreversible Dead Ringers Dead Calm Se7en No Country For Old Men Children of Men Shutter Island Requiem for a Dream Black Swan Pi Oldboy Midnight Express Deliverance Cries and Whispers Off the top of my head. Thanks guys. I'll look up of these movies.

I agree. It took two seasons for them to get the writing just right and for Bakula to get used to being a Captain. Once the show got its footing it was pretty great. The first two seasons Bakula was a nervous pushover whose tagline was "That's an order"....no kidding? The Captain asked you to do something while on duty. What do you think it was?

There's a day where I'm not supposed to drink at least a few cups? I like to think that the months of May-August are coffee fasting months, where the great beverage is cleansed from the body in exchange for more than 4-6 hours of sleep.

it's a state college, and what little genesis footage I've seen from this time period had them playing in a small/medium venue. Yup. One of the most famous and well bootlegged shows on that tour was at a University auditorium in Montreal. One of if not the best show I have ever seen was on a college campus in 1979. Towson State U..... Found a video for anyone who wants to see:

Didn't mean to come off as harsh. I just meant point out that the rules are at the very beginning. Sorry Geds. -

Please read the very first post of this thread. It contains all of the rules. -

Please don't quote the image unless it's on a new page and the image isn't on that page of the thread. Quoting for each post adds unnecessary clutter. -

Oh sorry. I didn't get a PM about my win. -
One day in the future, Apple might actually test their latest version iOS before releasing it to make sure there aren't any major or easy to detect bugs in it.

Yeah. The vast majority of them are technically just chiptunes. The ones I posted are 16 bit (made on a SNES). The tracks made for actual 8-bit consoles are incredibly impressive because you couldn't get 4 overlaying sounds in them. You couldn't even make percussive sounds in many cases. I remember reading up on how the music was made for the original pokemon games on the first Game Boy which talked about how they made it sound like more was going on musically than they actually had to work with. It's amazing that we got as many memorable tunes as we did when the technology was so limited and difficult to work with compared to composing with actual instruments.

I just quoted you using IE11. :) Glad to see some people can do that. I'm on Windows7 and my IE11 doesn't work well on here. Windows 7 for me too. ;) I got Windows 8 when I built my computer this past July. I prefer 7... I prefer XP! Windows XP was an AWESOME OS but any machine with XP is too slow nowadays and very little today in terms of software would support it. It's a shame, because XP was the tits. If you keep that little holographic sticker, you can legally install XP on your next machine when you change. I believe most every day software still works fine on it. The sticker has your CD key and is also used as proof of purchase which you can use on any windows XP installer (so it's cool if you lost your CD and have to acquire another copy by other means). However, I'm not sure if you'll be able to use it on a 64 bit version if you have a 32 bit version version of the OS (which is likely). You'll need the 64 bit version if you've got a machine with more than 4GB of RAM.

I'm not a fan, but my girlfriend loves these things. What would you guys recommend? It would be nice to see one we both enjoy. Ideally the movie would have to rely on something other than excessive gore like Saw, Hostel or that trope of cutting to the scary thing and playing a high pitched noise/tune (that's not scary, it's borderline comedy because of how hard these movies are trying to scare people).

It wasn't? That's pretty interesting. I thought everyone always stood at rock concerts. I guess that explains why older folks get so pissed when I stand during rock concerts...

Good thing you don't define what a real Rush fan is. :P While I enjoy many of the live recordings, I can't say I love any of them in full. I'll listen to any of the studio albums from start to finish except one or two but I cherry pick tracks from the live albums. That said, I can't wait to see the footage of 2112 performed in full.

Does your wife have iMessage enabled on her phone? There's a setting somewhere that enables/disables the sending and receiving of iMessages. Also, keep in mind that you need internet to send and receive iMessgaes. If your wife does not have cellular data enabled, she will only receive them when connected by wifi. I did some additional research on the issue in case the above isn't helpful and found this video tutorial: http://youtu.be/7Yc-3pN5UnA Looks like it will fix it. Worst case you'll need to enter your wifi password again.

Depending on who is calling, the main riff of YYZ, the first verse of Tom Sawyer, the chorus of Ghost of a Chance will play which covers 98% of all incoming calls. The opening of Spirit of Radio plays for any number that doesn't belong to one of those people. When our band's bassist texts me, the opening from Seven Cities of Gold plays.

Apple iPhone 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S5
USB Connector replied to laughedatbytime's topic in Reverse Polarity
Well that's good to hear. Is there any major difference between it and the previous version? Just more features - time lapse on the camera; predictive words in text messaging. Native health applications. I am sure there are more. The ability to answer calls on devices that don't have cell coverage is kinda cool. Like your hairdryer? Answering calls while on the toilet, USING the toilet might be cool. -
Yeah but it's fleeting and those are easy to understand. By then Cisco has done a ton for Beyjor which seems to fall in line with some prophicies and that there are some orbs left over from some super advanced aliens who live in the wormhole which the Beyjorans consider to be gods. That's pretty much the extent of what you need to know until season 7... with the exception of maybe one episode per season that's centered around the religion.
