  1. Buh... but why does Japan get to know the release date before us? They don't even speak Canadian!
  2. Yeah, we haven't heard anything from them for a while now. Every day I think "Today's the day! It HAS to be after waiting for SO long!" Nothing yet, and today is still obviously not the day LOL
  3. I am SOOO jealous, first discovering Rush and going through their entire catalog for the first time was one of the greatest and most rewarding experiences of my life. Have fun!
  4. I voted yes, due to wishful thinking. (fingers are crossed) Love this song and haven't got to see it live yet, just started going to Rush shows during Snakes and Arrows.
  5. That may be true, but they still had to take those shots for the music video specifically.
  6. Neil, Geddy, and Alex are ALL in the Far Cry video at the end. Have you ever even seen it?
  7. I wasn't talking about my opinion, geez. Just the fact that I mentioned the Far Cry video and that they still DO make music videos for new albums. My opinions don't matter. They're only my views on the facts I state, which (the one point that you were correct) IS the foundation for good conversation. No worries, just wanted to be clear.
  8. My god, does any read the whole threads anymore or just the titles? I feel like I'm echoed every time I post here.
  9. ^ I knew what video that link was going to before I even put my cursor over it! They did a video for Far Cry, if anyone remembers. I really liked it, but the band just wasn't in it much.
  10. I mentioned Open Secrets in the 2nd post. Credit where credit is due!
  11. I would LOVE to see Analog Kid, but the rest... not so much. Maybe Kid Gloves too, cos the solo is killer. However, I wouldn't mind seeing: Time and Motion Vapor Trails Available Light Middletown Dreams Open Secrets We Hold On
  12. The blu-ray is DEFINITELY worth the price, especially to see the extra songs! (or I guess, entire concert lol)
  13. I don't think they're 'messing up' any more than they used to, it's just better documented in the modern day with the internet forums and phone cameras recording every second of every show. It's easy to go back and analyze with today's technology.
  14. Oops, think I accidentally stumbled onto the Official Rush Hate Site. Need to get out of here and find the one where people actually like the band.
  15. Has no one else really not noticed all the blue spots?! ps. Sorry, would have posted this question in just one thread, but there are like 5 different threads on the same exact subject.
  16. Posted this question in another thread, but does anyone else notice blue-spotting, seemingly pasted onto where there seems to be a lot of glare? I love the performance but those blue spots are driving me crazy! It's really bad at some points, has no one else noticed this or did I get a bad blu-ray copy? I don't mean blue glare from lights, these blue spots seem to be edited in, may be wrong though. Either way they're a nuisance to me.
  17. Mine plays fine but does anyone else have/notice all the blue spotting where there seems to be a lot of glare? It seems to be not there at times but then you see a closeup of a guitar and there are all these filled-in blue lines and spots. Why? Other than that, love the bluray, great show and I enjoyed the presentation.
  18. @laughatbytime- I feel your screen name sums it up perfectly for the folks at Blender. I couldn't remember which magazine it was, I just assumed it was RS cos they've had so much beef with Rush over the years.
  19. I once remember reading on Rolling Stone's website (I believe, go figure) that Neil is considered one of the top 40 worst lyricists. After going through all of these passionate comments and reading some of Neil's best work, I would fight to the death that he is certainly one of the best of all time. Screw them, they just don't get it...
  20. Oh and I'm seeing the Foos at Nationwide on September 22nd, anyone else going?
  21. Just got my copy of the new Foos documentary on blu ray in the mail today. During the Wasting Light recording sessions Dave is talking about the guitarists and it shows a clip of Chris Shiflett playing the opening lick to Spirit of Radio. I love when one of my favorite bands loves my favorite band =)
  22. It was opposite for me, the first time I heard 2112 I only listened to it once. About a month later the riff from Syrinx was stuck in my head and I had no idea what song it was. A little while later I found it and had quite a 'Eureka!' moment and couldn't stop listening to it. Then when YYZ hit GH2 I became fascinated with Rush. Then I saw them live S&A 2007 and that's when they became my favorite band ever. I rambled...sorryy...
  23. They're hot right now, why the hell would they stop touring when their probably the biggest they've ever been and they got so much on their plate right now. They still have 5-10 years left in em, no doubt. The tours will probably get shorter, but they'll stick around.
  24. The nerve of some kids... I'm gonna start a band called Big Time Led Zeppelin and see how that works out. If they can get away with it, why couldn't I?
