  1. Meh, some alright songs. Nothing I really care about though.
  2. Grace Potter and The Nocturnals on Wednesday!!!!
  3. Happy Birthday to the dude who has the best taste in metal around here! :haz:
  4. A huge idiot fanbase for my fave thrash band...damn! Absolutely! The majority of Slayer fans are complete douchebags
  5. Rising and Long Live Rock n' Roll are classics!
  6. Motorhead - Bite The Bullet / The Chase Is Better Than The Catch
  7. Other than Black Velvet I don't know anything else either.
  8. That would've been awesome- back when Rush still had opening acts I always got stuck with the shitty ones. RTB tour was Mr. Big and CP was Candlebox! hahaha f**k that! Yea, how come I couldn't get Primus or The Melvins?
  9. That would've been awesome- back when Rush still had opening acts I always got stuck with the shitty ones. RTB tour was Mr. Big and CP was Candlebox! hahaha f**k that! In all fairness , Mr. Big had some stellar musicianship.. Even though they had the hair band image going on True, Billy and Paul Gilbert are great musicians, the music is kinda cheesy though.
  10. Gaga indeed looked great on GMA. Most here know I'm an unabashed fan of hers.

  12. ...and I was just praising your good taste you little shit Actually the new EP by John is just plain awful. I *hate* the electronica/experimental art-rock wank he's drifting into now A sheer waste of an awesome rock guitarist :( :rfl: I gave them one more try with Californication, but it did nothing for me. Freaky Styley and Uplift Mofo Party Plan will always be my favorite things they have done. Blood Sugar was their last good album in my opinion. Where you finish I start! All that punk-funk-frat boy nonsense did zilch for me and seriously gets on my nerves. I preferred the musicality and diversity that was to follow during the JF years. MM and BSSM are okish but Californication finally swung the RHCP doors wide open for me. I know I'm probably the only one here that thinks along those lines but that's ok :smoke: After Blood Sugar they just got boring and lame to me. Too mellow- give me the punk-funk-frat boy nonsense!
  13. I'm a huge Sabbath fan. Hands down my least favorite album of the Ozzy era. If I had to pick a favorite song off it, it would actually be Bill's It's Alright. All Moving Parts (Stand Still) is up there with their worst songs ever. I love It's Alright. It's def the worst of the Ozzy era, but I still think it's a decent album.
  14. I'm surprised, you have good taste. And it's not a question of growing on you, their pop hooks are instantaneous. Strange. You like BOC and Mercyful Fate I'm sure. Oh well. Haha thanks. Everything about this band is right up my alley- like you said I love Fate and BOC, but just something hasn't clicked with me. Ok, not saying either album is perfect by a long way, but what I like I *really* like. You need to devote a few listens to each album to be fair I guess. I'm sure you will come away with something by then. We will be watching this space... :) Start with the first or second album? First. The second to be honest took a couple more listens, it was a little ummm...different! Ok, first it is. I'll let you know what I thought after I give it a listen or two.
  15. The Rainbow Thief - the only Jodorowsky film I haven't seen.

It took me a bit to really get into them, and like you I couldn't put my finger on it. Also- BOC & MF = :haz: Maybe I just need to sit down and listen to a full album- not snippets here and there. By all accounts this is a band I SHOULD like!

  21. Loved this movie when I was younger. It never gets mentioned with the other 80's films- I feel like many people don't know about it. Matt Dillon playing a dick yet again!
