Hemispheres. /thread -
Riverfront... I know for sure I was there for the PoW show... pretty sure I was there for Presto as well.

We started a fund for people that can't get to a show
Snaked replied to NaturalScientist75's topic in On The Lighted Stage
Can you provide details as to who is on the committee? What percentage of donations are going directly towards funding a show for someone in need? How is need determined? Sorry if I sound skeptical... but... yanno. -
I've said this at least a hundred times thus far.. If they didn't play Losing It when they had the chance with a string section at their beck and call they certainly won't play it now.

Anybody who doesn't vote for Lakeside Park should be drawn and quartered.

1. Pick an item that you don't care if you never see again. - It's possible it won't get mailed back to you 2. Write a BRIEF note to the band asking for an autograph. (1-2 short paragraphs are more than enough) 3. Get a pre-paid return mailer and make sure to address it to where you'd like it sent 4. About 2 weeks before the show mail the package with all items included to the venue of your choice. This gives you the best chance although there are no guarantees.

Are you being serious?

I doubt they do New York based alone on the fact that the Grace Under Pressure concert was recorded there. I'm pretty sure P/G live was done in Toronto. Edit: "The program was shot over two nights in September '84 at Maple Leaf Gardens. The production, which included the use of 12 cameras, 40 vari-lites and 300 pars audience lights, was on par with our co-production of Bowie's Serious Moonlight show, and the same director, David Mallett, was used. We used a lot of Canadian talent (Magnetic North Corporation did the post-production and the audio producers were Terry Brown and Jon Erickson) and, in CPI's pitch to prospective clients, we emphasize the strength of Canadian production talent." - Steve Howard, Concert Productions International, Canadian Musician, May 1985 My bad. For some reason I was thinking it was done in Radio City Music Hall. I like your line of reasoning, though. If the band is on the same page, NYC may be a shoe-in!! :dweez: Highly doubt it would be NYC and/or Newark. Union costs for both venues are through the roof. But ya never know...

They abridged Natural Science due to time constraints on the T4E tour and it turned out they really liked the new arrangement so they kept it for subsequent tours.

Rush must be touring in Europe as well, right...?

They're going on a VERY long vacation after August. -
R40- All 4 parts of Fear - Live?
Snaked replied to Disembodied Spirit's topic in On The Lighted Stage
I'll go on record right now and say that all 4 parts of Fear happening on this tour is about as likely as getting You Bet Your Life, Dog Years, I Think I'm Going Bald and Virtuality. However, I don't think it's far fetched to get the original trilogy once again. -
Patrick and Shannon will keep The RBSC up, running and producing new merchandise for as long as the boys and Anthem ask them to.

I think that would be a most interesting experience for long time fans..... to have been able to attend/hear a soundcheck live. Back when I did the security gig (many, many, many moons ago), I got to watch a few here and there, but never Rush. That would have been epic. And, actually, I am surprised Kiss hasn't already started offering fans the "opportunity" to attend a sound check for a nominal fee.... They do sell a backstage/sound check 'experience'
-
Considering we've already seen the new kit..... Why are people expelling energy on this?
-
Entre Nous was actually played live prior to the Snakes & Arrows tour... but only during soundchecks for the PeW tour :P There is a rare recording of the soundcheck version somewhere on YT and of course I'm far too lazy tonight to look it up.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier because I could have helped ease your nerves a bit. Jeff Burrows is the drummer from The Tea Party (an Anthem band) and is good friends with the RUSH fellows. I've run into Jeff at several shows over the years. Since the auction in question was in his name for charity I am 100% certain the item in question is legit (as Anthem confirmed for you).

I think it's ok that he made this thread, even for the reason he made it. What is childish is that he continues to go into the Jacob's Ladder thread to slam that song and promote this one. :eyeroll: Is it childish that others come into this thread to slam NatSci and promote JL? Or maybe it's childish that people come into this thread just to take jabs at the OP....

Wow!! Awesome that they somehow got a rehearsal setlist when the band isn't even rehearsing yet!!! Also... the video screens won't be up until the final week of rehearsals. So NOBODY will know what Allan has in store for us until the end of April/early May. *sighs* It's going to be a verrrrrrrry long 2.5 months... there will be dozens of posts like this between now and opening night.

7/8 - that one that is tripping everybody up shouldn't count.
