  1. Notice how in the written lyrics the second time this is sung in each chorus, it is spelled indifferent circles. So Neil is giving that line more than one meaning. Brilliant! Maybe. Until you consider "indifferent circles we keep holding our ground..." makes no sense whatsoever.. Well, possibly Neil is saying that "indifferent circles we keep holding our ground," that war makes no sense whatsoever! :D
  2. I listened to it last week for the first time in months. I was reminded of just how great it is.
  3. I am surprised Rush did not buy it and renovate it. They made so much history there. Other bands have recorded there, but Le Studio has always seemed like Rush's recording home.
  4. Absolutely! I don't always like it when bands do unplugged versions of songs and change them a lot. Here are a few that I think would be great unplugged played only by Rush: Rivendell Lessons Closer To The Heart Cinderella Man The Trees Different Strings Losing It Emotion Detector Presto Resist Roll Away The Stone Nobody's Hero Between Sun And Moon Everyday Glory How It Is Far Cry The Larger Bowl The Way The Wind Blows We Hold On Halo Effect The Wreckers The Garden
  5. The Wal basses definitely have a character of their own. The great Percy Jones of Brand X was the guy to help make them popular through his recordings and tours with them; along with his endorsement of them. Geddy is a huge Percy Jones fan.
  6. I saw the Moving Pictures Tour in 1981 and Alex definitely played the Howard Roberts on The Camera Eye. I believe Geddy also played the Fender Jazz Bass on The Camera Eye, Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, YYZ and Vital Signs. I think those were the only songs he played the Fender Jazz Bass on. Hope this helps.
  7. A next to impossible poll! To me, every song on the album is great and every song on the album is important; as I do consider it a concept album. My top 3 were: The Anarchist Carnies Seven Cities Of Gold My filler track (because I had to vote for one): BU2B2

  9. One of Alex's greatest solos! Ever!
  10. Alex and Geddy meant absolutely to the late, great Donna Summer. They were simply talking about that period of music and the whole disco era and what they felt about it. They meant no harm. In fact they showed total class and honesty...as always!
  11. If so, (and I hope not!), drop 2112 and do ALL of Clockwork Angels in order. In addition, drop Dreamline and add The Pass. Drop Subdivisions and add We Hold On Drop The Spirit Of Radio and add The Color Of Right. Drop Limelight and add Anagram. Open with Chain Lightning!
  12. I seriously doubt it. But if it is, it is a great way to go out.
  13. I doubt it. I thought Signals was going to be it. There will be at least 3 albums more I think.
  14. None in Houston either. I was SHOCKED! I cannot believe they would not have at least 140,000 be available on the tour.
  15. I did NOT sell it! Went to the show after all and saw THE GREATEST RUSH SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN!
  16. Got 1 Houston ticket for sale! Reply ASAP! I am in New Orleans, so you will have to pick it up from me. Or, I may be able to get someone to meet you with it in Houston. REPLY ASAP! Thanks!
  17. I agree with your comparisons! I hear them! I almost went (and could have easily gone with) Carnies. But I went with The Anarchist! All are awesome however!
