  1. DOG YEARS!! Driven Virtuality No real dogs on the album, but Carve is not a real favorite of mine.
  2. I thought we were just talking about looks, not their movie performances. You know, shallow stuff.
  3. Headlong Flight Far Cry Clockwork Angels Vapor Trail Spindrift
  4. Fantastic group!! Took me years to give them a listen and when i did I had another awesome band to listen to.
  5. 1988's "Wide Awake in Dreamland", which came after "Seven the Hard Way", is a much more cohesive album. Much more "rocking" as well. It had the single, "All Fired Up" on it, which is a great rock song. Unfortunately, the MTV buzz was wearing off at that point and like so many great artists, Pat Benatar was being left behind. I bought that album and loved "All Fired Up", but the album just didn't have the same Benatar "sound" as i recall. It's like after 6 studio albums she ran out of great riffs and melodies for my ears.
  6. I will say that i am no doubt the biggest Benatar fan on this site! But..only through the "7 the Hard way" album. After that album I didn't much care for or listen to anything she released. But everything up to and including the 7 album is among my favorite music ever!! "Crimes of Passion" is in my top 10 all-time albums. "Wuthering Heights" is my all time favorite song (combined with the Kate Bush versions)
  7. I saw her on that tour too.
  8. 1. Cut to the Chase 2. Dog Years 3. Headlong Flight 4. Far Cry 5.Dreamline 6.The Big Wheel 7. Driven 8.Clockwork Angels 9. Presto 10. Peaceable Kingdom
  9. ‘If you’re not a liberal when you’re 25, you have no heart. If you’re not a conservative by the time you’re 35, you have no brain" Not real sure of the actual person who said this. Attributed to Churchhill??
  10. GUP is a bit of an odd duck for me. In my album rankings (rating the individual songs to get an overall album rating) GUP comes in at 8. If I would rank the albums based on how much I want to listen to any given Rush album, GUP is near the bottom. I think it's because there is no really weak song that I don't like (like Rivendell or Tai Shan, or Sweet Miracle) but not really any song that would be in my top 25 Rush songs. Love the thread!!
  11. Took my 12 year old daughter and 2 of her friends to see Charlie Puth and Shawn Mendes. Two teen heartthrobs. I enjoyed the show. It is what you think it is. Sugary pop made for teenage girls.
  12. hahahahahahaha...that's some good stuff!! Lordy....
  13. Cheap Trick - that's one of my all time favorite songs. Such a great riff and Zander's vocals are sensational. The Frampton tune is great too, but not even close for me.
  14. Really? Will you remember it a year from now, 5 years from now, 20 years from now? i guess you will, but probably only in a very minute and minuscule way.
