  4. The Kinks are extremely under rated. The "Village Green" and "Arthur" albums are the equal of any of the albums by the other 3. The Beatles are my favorite by a good margin in this poll.
  5. Green Day - American Idiot, 21st Century Breakdown Lady Gaga - Fame, Born This Way
  6. I don't get it. What about Def Leppard? They really spearheaded the hair metal poppy type of hard rock with Pyromania. And Hysteria was a huge album as well. Them and Motley Crue should get in before Bon Jovi, if we are talking 80s hair pop metal I agree. Leppard and Crue are much better than Bon Jovi. Scorpions is much better than all three of them. Leppard > Scorps> Crue>Bon Jovi
  7. Bon Jovi is generic. I'll give them props for being good at what they do and for providing whatever it is their fan base loves, but ain't hall of fame worthy. They are to the millions who love them and they were a huge reason many kids got into rock and metal. Simple as. You like shit music too, in the eyes of many. I understand the shit music I like doesn't belong in any type of hall of fame. Like a lot of people, I do not regard Bon Jovi as shit. I think they are a great mainstream rock band with enough hits and deeper cuts worthy of checking out, b-sides, rarities and demos to deserve a real mention amongst other greats. I think Bon Jovi are one of the finest rock bands of all time. They are a good band. End of story. You love them and that's cool. But as far as talent, songwriting, producing, etc.. they were very far from one of the finest rock bands of all time. Extremely far...
  8. I almost did back on page 1. Everything on my list definitely beats ((imho of course)) Empire or just by a little. Same here. Love that album
  9. Not counting Rush albums Bob Mould - Black Sheets of Rain Neil Young - Ragged Glory Shakespeares Sister - Hormonally Yours Mary's Danish - Circa and There Goes the Wondertruck Dance Hall Crashers - Honey I'm Homely and Lockjaw Oasis - What's the Story Popinjays - Flying Down to Mono Valley Blackmores Night - Shadow of the Moon
  10. They’re the two that’d be the closest (points-wise, if there were such a scale)...maybe like an A- and B+ respectively. Empire would certainly be an A+ and A New Hope an A. So maybe like this: Empire: A+ New Hope: A Return: A- Rogue One: B+ Force Awakens: B Last Jedi: B- Revenge: D+ Clones: D Phantom: F dammit!!! You guys must be hardcore Star Wars !! I thoroughly enjoyed Phantom, Attack and Clones. Not nearly on par with the first 3 movies, but definitely not as bad as you guys think.
  11. In no particular order Husker Du REM GnR Pat Benatar Metallica
  12. Pretty cool. Except for the screaming growling vocals.
  13. I am opining based on believing that the HoF should be just that, A HoF, not a Hall of Good . I am not taking into account those artists already in the HoF. Bon Jovi - Not HoF to me. Just shows what a few monster albums and singles can do. Bon Jovi was mega-popular for a short time frame, but the fact that they dominated during that time counts for something to many, but not me. The Cars - Great band. Great choice Dire Straits - See Bon Jovi. Although Knopfler is awesome The Moody Blues - Should have been in years ago. Nina Simone - Never listened to her so i cannot comment Here were all the nominees: Rage Against the Machine - Nope. Limited run of excellence Eurythmics - Nope. Good band, not great Radiohead - I think that they are one of the most over rated groups of all time. But I guess they should probably be in the Hall. Judas Priest - Long overdue. A f***ing travesty that they are not in. Kate Bush - Even though she sings my all time favorite song in "Wuthering Heights" she is not Hall worthy. Spots of brilliance, but overall simply good. Depeche Mode - Great in their genre, but hall worthy? Toss up. i would vote no. J. Geils Band - Nope. Solid band, but not great. LL Cool J - i am not that big of a Rap fan, so i don't really know where he stands in the rap music world as far as greatness goes. MC5 - I never listened to them. Because of their importance to the rock genre, maybe. The Meters - Never listened to them. No comment Rufus featuring Chaka Khan - Hell no. Link Wray - Maybe for his one massive song, "Rumble"? other than that why? The Zombies - Nope. another good band, that's all.
  14. RTL MOP Metallica Kill em AJFA Never really listen to any other albums from them. I do like the songs from Hardwired that i have heard.
  15. Careful, your hyperbole is showing! No hyperbole at all. Just the facts! :)
  16. They can thank Willie Dixon and Muddy Waters. Sure they can. So can a lot of other musical groups. Zep just kicked it up a thousand notches.
  17. Do you post negative comments on every thread just out of curiosity? No. But this isn't that good. Why would you think it is?
  18. WTF??? One of the greatest riffs in R&R history versus just another cool tune. 19. I play REM in the Springtime. It just seems to fit my Springtime mood.
  20. IV is in the discussion for GOAT. Night is a fantastic album, but not even close for me.
