  1. i was at that show. I had a really bad bootleg from this show. Worst bootleg I've ever had...unlistenable. Distortion everywhere. Booming bass. Distant. Everything that could possibly be wrong. I think it's the only bootleg I've ever recorded over. Have about a half dozen bandanas, but none from the Grace Under Pressure tour. I do have that huge photo tapestry from that tour though.
  2. The only one I'd be willing to part with is a bootleg I picked up outside the venue, but it just has the cities -- no dates.
  3. Page 41 of "RUSH The Illustrated history" has an image of a tour pass with that design. And the same image appears on the back cover of the book .http://www.amazon.co...ader_0760343640 Thanks for the link. I plan to pick up the book eventually. Looks like the shirt was something you'd buy outside of the venue rather than inside. Maybe the image was only on passes.
  4. This is a gray market release of the bootleg (Just like that ABC 1974 release) The live Vital Signs track is the B-side from the New World Man single. It was never commercially released on CD, but I do have it on an ABC Radio Networks hour long CD program called The Live Show which aired the week of 2/13/1989 or around the time A Show Of Hands was released. This St. Louis show is among the top 5 most widely distributed Rush bootlegs and should be very easy to find. There are many (myself included) that enjoy this recording even more than Exit...Stage Left for a number of reasons.
  5. The only thing wrong with this album is that Clockwork Angels came after it and that's unfortunate.
  6. I'll admit to having this poster on my wall...
  7. No...but could that have been a confusion with the Max Webster album "Live Magnetic Air" released around that time? Edit...I didn't read the other responses to this. I'm still inclined to believe the reviewer may have made a mistake. Though it's certainly possible it was used after Rush rejected it given how close both bands were at the time.
  8. If that's true, there is a bootleg show to go along with the pictures. From November 27, 1974 if I'm not mistaken. The quality of the recording isn't too great though, but it's not as bad as Neil's first show with the band.
  9. Well there's a quasi reference book called "Merely Players" published in 2002 that lists that concert date as Rush having played it. But the book is ridden with a myriad of errors so it's possible that this could be another one. The unfortunate thing is that people that come across this book accept the information in it to be accurate and in this particular instance that is not the case. Not to take this thread off topic, but that book was HORRIBLE! The fact that they even published it with the word "Merely" spelled wrong is just the beginning! The fact checkers were definately MIA with this book.
  10. Thanks. It occurs to me now that I may have an overseas pressing similar to that. I'm pretty sure it's not from New Zealand though.

    relive the past

Thanks. I have most of these already, but it's good to have them on the computer when I'm not near the stereo.
  12. The road case on the left alludes to their next album (A Show Of Hands.) I always thought that was cool. The cover for the Prime Mover enlarges the image of that. It's a lot easier to spot these things if you have the album handy.
  13. I love those Canadian copies. They didn't have to wash out "Dewei Defeats Truman." If I'm not mistaken, I think there might be some cover variations on the "Lee, Lifeson and Peart" signs that may have slipped through too.
  14. Wow! Ebay really cracks me up.Sounds like the stamps probably got marked up too! I did the same (except for the print. Reasonably priced, but I didn't think it was all that outstanding, so I'm going to do some sketches and see if I can come up with a more appealing design for myself.) I got a couple of postscards too, but they didn't seem that attractive to me.
  15. I'm just wondering if anyone has any more recollections about this...
  16. These are AWESOME photos. Thanks for sharing. I really hate that red lighting on the Moving Pictures tour
  17. Exactly. That's one reason why I sing every word. Nobody's going to hear it. The dancing is another story....
  18. I think they just did a poor job of editing out f***ing there. I highly doubt that. I've seen rush many times over different eras and have never heard Geddy curse on stage, let alone dropping F bombs. My guess is that he is saying "hands" in a different language. Gealic possibly? That would have been my guess. Geddy didn't really explode with the "colorful metaphors" on stage until after the documentary came out. He may be too old to care at this point.
  19. Well there's a quasi reference book called "Merely Players" published in 2002 that lists that concert date as Rush having played it. The unfortunate thing is that people that come across this book accept the information in it to be accurate and in this particular instance that is not the case. Strangely, I actually own a Flock compilation CD. Jerry Goodman who was also in Mahavishnu and the Dregs was in this band. Good stuff if you are a fusion fan. I would imagine that they were great live (but maybe not-so-much if you were expecting Rush)
  20. i also like how there seems to be an order and calmness to the chaos.
  21. I still have my Primus shirt from the Counterparts tour—what a show! Didn't realize that Primus opened for Rush on Counterparts. I saw them on the RTB tour and had Candlebox for Counterparts. But a little research showed me that Primus was on for 13 Counterparts shows. I would have loved to see Primus open for Rush. I was stuck with the likes of Vinnie Moore, Mr. Big and Candlebox on the tours Primus opened. Thinking about this a little more, it wouldn't surprise me if Primus opened in the western part of the US.
  22. Strange. I've always liked the US vinyl. I agree with your thoughts on the '97 remaster though. Yuck!
  23. That's how it's supposed to be. I have the digipak too. The digipak doesn't have the hard black binding on the left side like a book (which is what came in my fanpack.)
  24. Interesting how this plays out as you have to figure there were less Moon copies pressed and if you are only a little bit lucky you can get a decent copy at the price of what Vapor Tails seems to go for. Two different market forces at work?
