  2. I love Signals but I think two of the first three songs you listed is probably all we get. Of those, I'd prefer NWM and Analog Kid this time out, but that's just me. Subdivisions wasn't played on at least one tour, I think...Counterparts, maybe? They did a shortened version on the RTB tour previous to that. So it isn't out of the realm of possibility that they leave it out again.
  3. QUOTE (losingit2k @ Aug 29 2012, 08:50 AM) This wasn't a celebration, more of a side-comment. but if you missed it: Nice.
  4. QUOTE (losingit2k @ Aug 29 2012, 08:35 AM) QUOTE (FOH Lights @ Aug 28 2012, 11:34 AM) It was my understanding that the word went out that everything was to be kept under wraps until opening night. I was told not to expect any reliable inside info, pictures, etc. until then. Of course though, you never can tell. Not everyone respects those types of requests. I can say that the plan is to do approximately 6 songs with strings. if only 6 songs with strings, I think they will go with these: Clockwork Angels: The Anrachist Halo Effect The Wreckers The Garden Non- CA songs Losing It Manhattan Project However, I think they will play much more songs with strings if they are dragging them out with them on tour. I don't think they'll spend all that money on a string section and not utilize them. Now lets examin FOH Lights quote: QUOTE I can say that the plan is to do approximately 6 songs with strings. Now is that (Approximately) more than 6 or less? We don't know and is that in addition to the Clockwork Angel songs or Clockwork Angels songs. He didn't say in total did he? Lets face it all we can gather from this is that there's a gag order in place and that they are utilizing strings cause this leak is a little vague! You forgot the
  5. GeddysMullet is right. Rush fans are no different than fans of pretty much anything on the interwebs are.
  6. QUOTE (Grover @ Aug 28 2012, 09:55 AM) While they did drop TSOR for about half the Roll The Bones tour I think you mean the Presto tour because IIRC it was in the encore medley on the RTB tour throughout the whole tour. Limelight is one they dropped for a bit too...that may also have been on the Presto tour. Neither is going anywhere at this stage of the game, I don't think.
  7. QUOTE (circumstantial tree @ Aug 28 2012, 08:22 AM) It has nothing to do with me. I'll be at the first show anyway. Were you asking for someone else, then?
  8. QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Aug 27 2012, 08:49 PM) Aslo, I read on last tour the setlist was posted on Rush's web page opening night. They did, sometime after the second set started. Ruined a perfectly good setlist in-thread party.
  9. Nope. That would suck. If someone doesn't want to know, excercise some self-control and just stay out of the tour forum.
  10. QUOTE (hermy @ Aug 27 2012, 12:24 PM) With opening night next Friday they will have to load out of the warehouse by this Sunday or so. That leaves them just a few days left. Everything is set and not a peep from anyone. Well done in this day and age. Impressive indeed. Is the Manchester Venue the type that someone is likely to be able to hear the dress rehearsal from outside the venue the day before? 'cause that's what it looks like we're down to waiting on...
  11. QUOTE (cdaddie @ Aug 26 2012, 10:33 AM) Has anyone received tickets for Winnipeg yet? I finally got the email this week, how long typically for them to arrive at a Canadian address once they've been shipped? Same deal here...got the email for Wpg, but no tickets yet. Probably monday or tuesday.
  12. Last tour the Official Rush site posted the entire setlist about three-quarters away through the first show. It put a real damper on those following the online chat/update in relatively real-time. We'll see if it happens again (it'll actually be helpful if nobody is doing live updates this time out).

  14. QUOTE (losingit2k @ Aug 14 2012, 10:01 PM) QUOTE (Brava Doh! @ Aug 14 2012, 06:30 PM) If they liked the remaster of Mission that came out a while back, that version is made to do live with a string section...if they remember doing it like that, and like it. Mission would sound really good with strings! Have you heard the remaster out of IIRC the Sectors box set? If you haven't, find it and check it out. It's a natural for this tour, IMO. Depends if they remember they had all of that in there back when they wrote it.

  17. QUOTE (Kelly D @ Jun 14 2012, 10:33 PM) I'm glad we got two from Counterparts last tour, but I wanna hear "CTTC" or "Animate"!!! As much as I love Animate on the CP album, it does not translate nearly as well to me live. The tempo seems slower. I've been advocating CTTC as one they should break out for years, and I'm very surprised they haven't in the last couple of tours given how the heavyness of that song would seem to go along with the heavier writing style that they have employed in the last few years. And yet, nothing...I think they either have completely forgotten about it or just don't like the song for whatever reason. Anyhow lets hope it gets on the setlist this time out.
  18. QUOTE (limbo @ Apr 17 2012, 05:21 PM) minnesota i really hope this is wrong the target center sucks it is like listening to a concert in a cave Better than nothing.
  19. QUOTE (Union 5-3992 @ Apr 16 2012, 06:02 AM) Why not Limelight? That would be my choice as well. Great opener, and they seemed to play it with more energy as the opener than when it's played at other points of their set.
  20. QUOTE (Phantom @ Nov 9 2011, 06:00 AM) Thank goodness for HMV. Picked up the DVD there, ( both blu ray and regular dvd's in stock ). Interestingly, they've had them in stock, and selling, since October ! HMV here, too, for all 3, although they just put it out today, not back in October. The only other retailer that might have had it here was The Future Shop, and they didn't have it even listed on their website so I never bothered checking it out.
  21. QUOTE (The_Necromancer_77 @ Nov 8 2011, 08:34 PM) what a random musician to compare geddy with. u canot xpeckt anything mor from somwon thet onlee cums by to rag on the band with posts thet mayke no sencs and are randumb in naytur. necks topick: "i thiynk alex has moor grey hares then he did 10 yeers ago lololol that meens he sux now"
  22. QUOTE (Sir Lerxst @ Nov 3 2011, 03:03 PM) I believe that Geddy pressed the wrong trigger, triggering the wrong synth part and by the time the correct synth was triggered, it was out of time, during the guitar solo. In the finished edit, you have to listen very carefully to notice where the tracks have been spliced together. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOQQhst_qg4&t=3m40s I don't think it was a trigger, Neil just got behind a beat or two during the solo. The fix is nicely done.
  23. Amazon.ca = Canada Perhaps the blu ray will get released in Canada on the 8th.
  24. Had about 15 in Duluth. There was no external advertising for it at all...everyone there read about it online somewhere. I'm pretty sure I was the only one in from Canada (about a 4 hour drive) to see it. Totally worth the trip.
  25. "Bravado" Discussion And Performancs ...is this from a past tour or done in studio?
