Interesting. The guy with he Free Alex sign overdid it I think. And the case (and/or the counter-suit) still drags on, correct?

  8. QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Sep 8 2006, 06:36 AM) Pretty good hard rock, but a little too "basic" for my taste - too straight-ahead rock, not enough dynamics. But the lead singer has got a very unique voice; easily recognizable. My wife is a bigger fan than I am; because of her, we own one of their "best of" discs. And I downloaded a copy of my favorite Scorps track - their cover version of the Who's "I Can't Explain." Straight forward rock band - a little one dimensional, but fun and good. For me same as Judas Priest, AC/DC, Boston, ... Dream Theater....
  9. QUOTE (yyzyy @ Sep 2 2006, 02:56 PM) So the kid from the DEW video is Geddy's son??!! That's awesome!! "The video [for "Distant Early Warning"] featured Geddy's son Julian. 'I don't remember too much, except sitting on this rocket thing as if I was riding it for a really long time,' Julian recalled. 'Neil let me play his drums, but I had to be REALLY careful!'" - Chemistry http://www.2112.net/powerwindows/GUPlyrics.htm And the love of baseball runs in the family! Julian at UT

  12. True. She'll parlay her experience into something good. Trump is an a-hole in my book...
  13. I thought Conan was a good host for what little I saw of a largely worthless show - his opening gag was funny.
  14. QUOTE (JohnnyBlaze @ Aug 29 2006, 12:33 PM) QUOTE (Slime @ Aug 30 2006, 12:59 AM) But is anyone going to buy them with the originals already available on DVD? Yes they will. It's the Star Trek phenomenon. Honestly, I only really like the originals and a few of the episodes of TNG and Voyager. But I'd guess that true Trekkies will eat this shit up. I agree. When Lucas agreed to allow the original unfooled with Ep. 4-5-6 to be released on DVD I thought, well whod want that, but im sure Ill be proven wrong.
  15. "Right! This is my wife, smells a bit but..."
  16. QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Jul 18 2005, 04:31 PM) This may not affect too many people here, but for a long, long time I've been researching a possible connection between thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative, and autism. I have lots and lots of articles to back this up, and while I don't know if it's too late to help my son, if you are a parent, please take note of what I'll periodically post here. This is a scary issue, and I would feel awful if I didn't share what I'm learning. I'll post links here as I have time, for those who are interested. Also, we have an appointment tomorrow with a doctor who believes this to be a true scenario, so I'm cautiously optimistic that we're seeking help while my son is still young enough to benefit from the treatments. Anyway, thanks for reading, and I'll post some links to articles/research as soon as I can. (Thimerosal is no longer in vaccines at such alarming levels, but it DOES still exist. My son was given vaccines containing this vile substance in amounts far exceeding FDA guidelines in 2000-2001.) While I think the debate whether or not the mercury is responsible will continue to rage (Ive seen argument son both sides that look credible) - the best thing is to take care of our little buddies, pray (me), and have the doctors move heaven and earth to do whatever they can to help. I have a very good friend in the same position as you - I wish you all the best of luck and strength.

  18. You gotta be kidding me. Was was really great. Outstanding as the young Clemenza, and in City Slickers. He was also VERY funny (imo) in Good Morning Vietnam, The Freshman, and in Tin Men. Ah what a shame... http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e177/lerxt1990/kirby.jpg http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/g-i/gmv03.jpg http://www.movieactors.com/freezeframes-77/CitySlickers39.jpeg http://www.gonemovies.com/WWW/TopFilms/Godfather/GodfatherIIClemenza.jpg http://artfiles.art.com/images/-/Al-Pacino-Michael-Madsen-Bruno-Kirby-Johnny-Depp---Donnie-Brasco-Photograph-C10042088.jpeg
  19. Not as impressive as the twin peaks of Mt. Kilimanjaro!
  20. I simply HAVE to share. Yesterday in the car, we were driving around with the kids and my wife pointed to some land near where I live and said "They have huge tracts of land!" - I started laughing and said, "Oh yes she got HUGE ........ tracts of land." As usual she had no idea what I was amusing myself with - and after explaining, it didnt sweeten the deal any, but I sure had a great time laughing....
  21. He was at the My Favorite Headache CD interview/broadcast at WMMR (93.3 in Philly, where i believe he worked, may be wrong about that) and when the audience got to ask questions (he obviously used his connection to even get into the small studio event) he addressed Geddy as "Ged" like he was his best pal. Geddy wasn't rude, but politely answered his question like he would anyone else. Geddy stuck to talking to the DJ.
