  2. Louis C.K.- Louie the funniest most original comedy show on tv. James Gaffigan- Hottttt Pockets!
  3. QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Nov 28 2011, 12:32 PM) I really haven't been doing too much thinking about why this or that happens or what makes sense and what doesn't with this show. I'm just enjoying the insane ride it takes me on. This...
  4. Hey, thanks bro for the message and additional info, yep watched Halloween pt.1 on demand. I have no idea why dvr decided to quit recording American Horror. No schedule conflict checked, records my other shows no problem.
  5. YES! Now that you mentioned it, I live in Canton. And for no good reason at all my DVR quit recording American Horror Story somewhere after the third episode. Also i had set to record last Simpsons tree house of horror episode It WAS recording and all of sudden just quit!!! I can live without the Simpsons but there's a gap I'm dealing with American Horror Story, reset recording schedule. (It recorded Halloween part 2 but not part 1) I'm playing catch up and also following you guys on American Horror topic to fill the void!!!
  6. I think for the Clock work Angels tour, Rush should strip every thing down to the bare bones empty stage one spotlight. And to save Geddy's voice make it into a 60's beatnik poetry recital of there songs like Henry Rollins or in the style of Lou Reed. Neil on bongos(R30 or was it S&A acoustic set?) and Alex on tambourine being his silly self.........
  7. This show is endlessly fascinating with some truly suspenseful scary moments and "horror". Great writing and excellent cast, however at times I wonder and hope the producers have a concrete idea were all of this heading. They throw so much stuff in there with building up plots and explaining certain story lines by going back in time, things get confusing and trying to figure out who the hell is a ghost or not! Reminds me of another series I liked but overwhelmed itself and ended up cut short by HBO "Carnivale"
  8. I think the Easter egg thing is already a trend of the past, use to hear about them in every new movie dvd release. Not anymore...
  9. In person at the "Q" in Cleveland, thought he sounded like you said just fine. On blu ray dvd ditto the same, but on cd of TM concert yeah I did notice his vocals were a bit rough during some song segments. ??? Don't care Ged still sings decent enough age considering ,to make Rush live in concert still an enjoyable experience.
  10. QUOTE (Merely Space @ Nov 14 2011, 04:07 PM) Wonderful essay! Thanks for sharing. I am suprised it wasn't in the dvd packaging. Maybe not enough room? That's what I thought also, perhaps he just recently wrote this after the release, exclusive to the Cleveland Plain Dealer it's dated last Sunday November 13th. I remember the GUP concert at Richfield sat way in the next to last row up in the rafters side of stage Alex side. Couldn't see that well and didn't have the high tech big screen monitors like Time Machine tour, but man I do know they sounded fabulous, still have GUP bandanna hanging in my rec room in basement.
  11. I was hoping(waiting) for Neil to give his point of view summary Time Machine in Cleveland recording. This would of , should of, been in the little Time Machine dvd booklet. I miss the old Richfield Coliseum, smack dab in the middle of nowhere, in what use to be a corn field. It's great Neil travels to Amish country when he's in the area which is a short drive from my hometown of Canton. Of course his early bike riding pilgrimage to the tiny village of Beach City as written in Ghost Rider or Road Show , which we have often passed through(I told my wife, if i seen Neil Peart sitting on the steps of the general store eating a ice cream cone, I don't think i would believe what i was seeing and just do a double take and go on our way!) Beach City was the home of a girl Neil met while on a family vacation in Canada as a teen. And inspired some of the lyrics to The Analog Kid"The fawned eyed girl with sun brown legs dances on the edge of his dreams"
  12. I have a concert review he did for the Beacon believe it was the Test For Echo tour at the (Gund/Q) full page! The man knows good music when he hears it...
  13. QUOTE (02Rover @ Nov 10 2011, 08:10 AM) During "Time Stands Still", there is a shot of some fans singing and Im the one in the Cleveland Indians cap. Are you sure that wasn't me? .... I had a Indians cap on... That's cool, going to watch this weekend seriously doubt I caught the camera eye way up in the rafters. Mostly positive reviews of dvd except some footage of nonexcited fans.
  14. QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Nov 6 2011, 09:15 PM) QUOTE (Kelly D @ Nov 6 2011, 09:09 PM) A lot of the crowd shots, particularly the ones from far away, show many disinterested fans (including a shot of someone tying his/her shoe)! I don't think they were disinterested. When I saw Rush last April in NYC, I was 4 rows from the stage. I wasn't jumping up and down screaming the whole time. For the first half of the concert I was just standing there in awe. It probably looked like I wasn't interested, but I was! I'm guessing that those people were in awe too (except for the guy tying his shoes ). When we posted concert review, I stated that in my row & section (upper tier section 100) there were a block of "subdued" older fans in there late 50's who clapped and sang but didn't get out of there seats and go crazy...... That was my job!!! My wife got into it briefly with some woman sitting in front of us who thought i was to loud, she let her know I'm a hardcore fan and told her to turnaround. Then her boyfriend told her the same thing and said I'm enjoying the concert. I have not seen TM yet, picking it up at Best Buy Tuesday Can't wait!!!
  15. I have plenty more of Cleveland's Scene magazine articles about Rush in my collection, 1980 on up. Interviews & concert reviews, they were always pro Rush (except from around1998 to 2002 Vapor Trails era, young trendy punk writers took over who were paranoid about there perceived coolness )They have since then come back around and are once again favorable with the dynamic trio. Thanks for this one!
  16. I see that Best Buy has the Time Machine cd release date(Nov.7th) the day before the blu ray release. I was hoping the blu ray & cd would of been all in one package. Don't matter buying both... maybe vinyl also!!!
  17. QUOTE (Yokkov @ Oct 15 2011, 04:08 PM) Steve Winwood was 15 when he had his first number one hit over the Beatles. While Rush are amazing, they're not the only musically talented people out there. Ohh no, the ONLY ones!!!!
  18. Throw in The Little Rascals/Our Gang, great stuff!!!!
  19. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Oct 6 2011, 11:32 PM) QUOTE (bordercollie @ Oct 6 2011, 11:59 PM) There's still one song remaining up that was posted by somebody else. Yeah, and it's "The Necromancer," which was performed in secret for ten lucky Cleveland people after the show was over. Worth looking for! And it was awesome!!!!
  20. QUOTE (Litehawk @ Oct 7 2011, 04:00 AM) Personally I would have preferred Superconductor
  21. They out did themselves this year, The Cure? I guess mope rock that gave birth to goth and emo is considered enduring and will stand the test of time in the eyes of Rolling Stone magazine. So shallow... And geez they really want to make everyone believe that the disco era had substance beneath all that coke, glitter and white shoes. Rufus Chaka Khan, Donna Summer It's been said so many times before but it's true, how in the hell can they call it The ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME?????????

    Just Saw BTLS

QUOTE (Nate2112 @ Aug 27 2011, 07:30 AM) Loved how they had Corgan in it He did a excellent job of explaining what Rush ment to him and us. And putting in perspective the significance of there music and there well deserved placement as one of the all time great rock bands in R&R history.
  25. QUOTE (Invisible To Telescopic Eye @ Aug 24 2011, 01:23 PM) QUOTE (softfilter @ Aug 24 2011, 01:49 PM) QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Aug 24 2011, 10:06 AM) Back when RIR was released, the anticipation was high because it had been a while since they released a concert video (since ASOH), and it was the first concert DVD. So we all counted the days to that release date. Since RIR, they've released one for every tour, so now it's like, "Oh, cool. Another vid. Whenever." Except this time it is highly anticipated (for me) since it was filmed on home turf and I was there! I heard there was lots of footage with you in it...but they edited it out I wouldn't blame them!!
