  1. IDK, but he's wearing Claypool's hat and glasses. LMAO!
  2. They eat themselves, horses, armchairs, cannelloni... Are you suggesting...eating my mother? And larks' tongues, wrens' livers, chaffinch brains, jaguars' earlobes... F*ck off. I'm full. I couldn't eat another thing. I'm absolutely stuffed. Bugger off. I hope you're going to enjoy me this evening, I'm the special. Try me with some rice! To be perfectly frank, I like my meat a little more lean. I'd rather eat Sun&Moon. What flavour is it? Flavour? It's not any bloody flavour is it? It's bloody sea bird flavor! But it is lovingly garnished with Larks vomit.
  3. Rush's Geddy Lee to Guest Star on 'Murdoch Mysteries' | Exclaim! I'm thinking he'll do very well. Seemed like a natural in the concert vids.
  4. Not to mention the clothes were atrocious. Leisure suits. Polyester pants. Bell bottoms. :scared: I'll put my Levis Bell Bottoms and a Dashiki up against skinny jeans and a civil war beard any day.
  5. Ok. Pipelines are by far the safest, cleanest and least expensive way to move all petroleum products. The alternatives are rail, ship and truck. See what I mean? Tar sand oil is filthy? How so? Once it's ready to ship it is no different than any other oil. and no more difficult to clean up. As to shortages and lines down the street, stand by sweetheart. And it's nothing to do with Ukraine. Gas prices were up a dollar before Rootin Tootin Putin rolled the first tank.
  6. 10 year old Theodore Geisel with his dog Rex.
  7. Presumably the oil companies weren’t tapping those wells before the huge spike in prices and were greedy prior to 14 months ago, no? The USA was cranking out oil recently to the tune of being just above profitable. $35 -$60 a barrel. That all changed about a year ago. I’m not looking at Dallas and OKC to blame but gazing at Washington DC. Tulsa and Houston are the oil centers, but yeah, the prices have been way up since last Thanksgiving.
  8. This thread to be moved to TSOCN in 3 2 1...
  9. And lessons from Neils friend and teacher. Neil continues to make this world a better place even from beyond the astral door.
  10. First Spirit of Drumming scholarship awarded. Happy tears.
  11. I have a soft spot for those AMC cars. My first car was a Hornet station wagon, and it had a 304 8-cyl in it. Way too much engine for that little car. Or, was it? :D Those 79+ Eagles were the bomb. So light with the very capable 4x4 drive. We used to go 4 wheeling in the river bottoms S of town. It's the most silty, mirey clay you can imagine. My friend Mark had a Baja Bug, and our buddy's had a Brat and a Spirit. When the big heavy trucks would sink and get stuck, we'd tandem up a couple of the little ones and pull em out for $20 a pop. LOL
  12. Looks like a Hot Wheels car. Is that a hippie coffin on the roof? LOL It says GREMLIN on it, maybe that's where he keeps them.
  13. The arborist is the ultimate optimist. Like the gardener, having only the promise of nature's bounty to motivate such hard work with so long to wait for results. Without people taking this long view, orchards would not exist. Grass would never have become corn. We would still be hunter-gatherers. Cheers to you my fellow civilization supporter!
  14. Teir one saxophone player. Amazing even with relatively pedestrian Foreigner. The only good thing about Urgent.
  15. The last 24 hrs have brought DFW rain, freezing rain, sleet, and this morning the most beautiful light airy snow imaginable here. Huge flakes blowing and floating on the wind. So dry it's blowing off the roofs and piling up in corners. A rare treat down here where heavy wet snow dominates. Chili in the crock pot and plenty of warming spirits to pass the day off. I foresee an afternoon nap.
