LeVar was too enthusiastic and it didn't fit the game. If he gets it he would need to button it up a bit. (I wouldn't be opposed to him getting it if he did). I'd have to know more about the sex discrimination allegations to make a determination but while he was good he wasn't my favorite. I think David Faber was about the best but all were pretty good, with the possible exception of Dr. Oz and probably the smug Joe Buck. Jennings started out slow but was pretty good by the end. Or they could "go off the board".

Certainly not me...... Yeah, I dunno. I've seen all the docs over the last few years in theaters, and they were always an awesome experience. But with rising cases and this being an indoor thing... it's nothing to do with Covid...I won't go because I think it'll be shite...... Such in inveterate curmudgeon. LOL All the RUSH Docs are awesome, you should at least get the DVD. You can always return it like a thrifty Scott. :moon:

There are as many RUSH era's as there are RUSH fans it seems, but I find it hard to believe that anyone leaves out 2112. But then that was in my wheelhouse at the time which seems to be the deciding factor in these things. It's all about what we jammed to when in our formative and hormone addled years. That said, there are at least two or three songs on every RUSH album that I like and will dig up and listen to. I'd like to give special mention to Counterparts, which has perhaps the best sound of any RUSH album and a first four songs that kick serious ass.

I always thought that The Real Me was a big influence on the bass in The Body Electric. Thoughts? Can you offer some specific parts of TBE. The bass is so understated on GuP that it’s hard to see the connection - for me. I’m betting he means the intro, which features some very prominent zippy bass licks. Yes exactly. Not just the sliding around on the neck that Ged does but the sound he gets reminds me of The Real Me and Quad in general bass wise.

I submit for your perusal an isolated live bit from a Who great one. Won’t Get Fooled Again: John Entwistle’s Isolated Bass (Live, 1978) – No Treble I rate Entwistle as certified BAD ASS, Ok, not news but deserving of a revisit perhaps.

Ask him why didn't he call the band KK's Steel Mill or KK Downing's Disciples or something. One of the tracks of the new album is called "Song for Treeduck", did you know that? I've seen the tracklist and there's too many Priest references there too, Return of the Sentinel, Sermons of the Sinner, Hail to the Priest, and Wild and Free sounds too much like Rock Hard, Ride Free. Perhaps without Glenn and Rob there to contribute, KK's songwriting ideas are very limited. Before Firepower came out, while I was waiting for the release, before we found out the song titles, I made up about 10 mock Priest song-lists with album titles, KK should have consulted me, mine are wayyyyy better than KK's. When Keith Moon is your first influence, swing may not be fully attainable. LOL I just think he was trying to broaden his abilities and Peart was certainly not short on ambition. I think that swing appealed to him because it is less free form. It offered him the structure he needed with some degree of improvisation possible.
