I'm just going to come out and say it- rock and roll started with black Americans, and progressed to seem inclusive, but some music scenes are not. IMO no one has really pointed out Wenner's faulty views, so he's been happy to hold on to them. This is exactly why rap music blew up like it did- on it's own terms, mostly financed independently. I remember people being disgusted by Public Enemy and NWA. On a sad note, a LOT of musicians who matured in the 1960-70s experience some terrible treatment from record companies. Artists don't tend to look at the financial long term of being an artist for a living.

Here's my opinion on her situation- she probably was just ready to be a mom and chose someone who seemed to want the same things. Her soon to be ex husband was "just there." Money problems ruin most marriages before infidelity does. Trust me, most wealthy famous people have some really depressing lives. I'm not going to say who but one extremely successful actor coke binged his way into a divorce, and was forced to live in a hotel after law enforcement TOLD him to remove himself from his marital home. Let's not even talk about the train wreck that is Shia LaBeouf's life. I'm more impressed by rich people that stay single so they don't wreck people's emotions with debauchery. Just my 2 cents....

Awww. I had a little crush on the guy. It's easy to love men who seem intelligent. On to the next adventure my man! 90 years is a good long run.

Funny confession- I read Rolling Stone for a long time. Someone gifted me a subscription. That being said, RS was there to market "sure bet" musical acts, and publish some decent articles on topics people should have been interested in. Wenner needs to retire on his pile of money and go volunteer at a petting zoo or something. Just my 2 cents.....

Insomnia is making me sad. On top of that I went out of my way to have less caffeine yesterday and I STILL could not sleep.

Did something for myself today. My early Christmas present.

Went to a yard sale super early and grabbed some very nice things. In my last place of residence the yard sales were terrible so this was a nice change. (This sounds dumb to be excited by a yard sale, but when you budget, you have to take your happiness when you can find it, lol.)

Dumb, but- I accidentally wasted food. I'm mad at myself. Food costs are insane here, so normally I would not have done that.

I think he has paid staff that check social media. Anyhow, just want to mention he's probably annoyed with the amount of people begging him to live as long as possible. (After the past few years, it makes sense.) Bless him, he's done so much for the world. I hope he's enjoying retirement.

The anniversary of a sad event has recently passed. I felt a moment of sadness, but now I feel better that I can think of the good memories instead.

I thought about my irritation with the amount of taxes I pay currently, but then I reminded myself I am fortunate enough to be able to make the kind of income that gets taxed. A joker at work mentioned the saying about the only certainty in life being death and taxes. Sigh. So my relief over being fortunate enough to be employed has made my day.
